Sudden Sam, see you at 3:30, in J-ville 2007.
SWome say that Bowden was waiting for this game to get scheduled prior to perhaps retiring after the 2007 season.

Florida State and Alabama officials made it official Tuesday, announcing that the teams will play a neutral-site game at Alltel Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007. Financial details were not available.

FSU coach Bobby Bowden, an Alabama native, said he remembered trying to schedule a game against the Crimson Tide as far back as 1976, his first season in Tallahassee.

But during a golf outing with former Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and administrators from both schools, Bowden said Bryant made it clear that a deal wouldn't happen.

"He said Alabama might play Florida State, but not during my lifetime," Bowden said. "But coach Bryant's gone, and we're playing Alabama."

FSU is 0-2-1 against Alabama in school history. The Crimson Tide won 8-7 in 1974, 21-0 in 1965 and the teams tied 37-37 in 1967.
See you guys in two years! :)

Bama, Va Tech, Miami and Florida in one year. Nothing like playing 4 potential Top 10 teams, plus the ACC Champ game to boot.

You know T thats a good question and frankly I don't know. My guess is no because both schools can really stick it to the fans who will no doubt pay top dollar to make this roadie.

Speaking off roadie- potential national troll stop?
