Obligatory "WTF, Tejas???" thread

I figured this thread would've been started by now. Okie St. is just dominating this game. 28-9 with 4:00 to go in the half. That tipped catch by Woods was ridiculous. It's still pretty early, but it looks like all the doomsayers might've been right about Texas eventually pissing down their leg...

I keep seeing the updates on ESPN, and I keep saying to myself, "HOLY FUCK ...
Are you kidding me?"
Who the hell has the OSU fight song via mpg?
This game should be interesting, to say the least. Holy fuck.

UT-OSU on TBS... another possible upset.
Penguins-Hurricanes on UPN.
It's a good sports night in this household.

80 yard TD run to start the 2nd half by Vince Young. The planets are starting to align again.

I would prefer the Hokies get in by winning out rather that Tejas losing. Besides, VT cornholing an overmatched SEC team in a bowl game would be preferable to watching USC wiping turkey feathers off its collective unit on the drapes after the Rose Bowl.

Btw, Prime ...
Your bad announcer can beat up my bad announcer, via radio. God, this Okie State guy sounds almost as bad, on any given OSU play, as ESPN's Mike Patrick does, on a typical Sunday Night Football game.
AND he gets A YARD from SCRIMMAGE! THIS OFFENSE IS SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT
... and they STOP HIM! THIS COWBOY CROWD CAN REALLY HELP THE CAUSE!
THIS DEFENSE HAS JUST BEEN PHENOMENAL, JUST AS WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE!
I don't even have Ron Foolin or the rest of those TBS' excuses for "annoucers" on.

I was listening to the first half in the car via Sirius on my way home. HORRIBLE!
Then I remembered the game was a TBS jewel. HORRIBLE!
Now I'm hogging the AM radio for UT broadcasts. Lovin' it.

I'm going to be getting Sirius sometime between now & January 16th. How many CFB games do they typically have each week?

I usually count about 10 on any givin' Saturday, but they're supposed to ba adding more in '06.
BTW- Texas with the lead. Vince Young is owning.

DrD is with me in spirit, since Texas is now ahead ... FUCK.
After all, it's all about the "kids" and the "spirit" and the "tradition"
wheeeeeeeee
FUCK
Edit for "color" guy on the OSU network, after Texas is up 34-28, with the crowd leaving:
This is not the same feel, as the Texas game, last year.
Oh, really? Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Good game.
This doesn't have anything to do at all with championships. This is all about college athletes just giving it their all. This is college football!!!!!

Champion? LMAO! Mischarictexastouchdown! Stop Michiganreprehensarias!
There's no need for a true national champion, because the game is really, really pure, and we don't need a champion in college football. Just as long as we have a spirit of games like this ... isn't it great?
Well?

First one I've lost all year going with Tejas. Didn't really think I'd go 11 for 11.

Oh, it doesn't matter, this is just a good old-fashioned tradionally meaningless football game.
Texas is supposed to win, and it's not my fault that I like the purity of college football, even though as a 26-year-old political sheep, errr, junkie, I don't comment in this forum, other than to talk about "tradition" and "great discussion."
Besides, Texas went for it and got it, late in the 4th quarter.
It's pretty obviously athat Texas, along witht USC, have nothing at all to do with college football. Care to dispute me?
Sincerely,
You-know-who

Btw, RACK your boys, Prime. Nice come-from-behind-victory. Hell, even Ang should chime in to offer congrats.
Update on OSU announcers: A game that had great promise ... a young team ... just unable to keep the momentum going.

Typical. We don't show up in the first half. You have a team that has nothing to lose and they get some breaks and take it to us in the first half.
2nd half....different story but it had that vu ja da feel to it. Have we been here before? Total domination in the 2nd half and a W. Vince was ridiculous. He had over 500 total yards and 4 TD's. That is impressive. Props to Okie state. They played a great first half.

Funny but even when it was 28-9 I never paniced. I just thought that Texas was going to pull their heads out and go to work. And they did.
This game will likely hurt Texas in the standings this week but as long as we don't drop to #3 we will be ok.
Best stat of the night in the last 3 games against OSU Texas has outscored Okie Lite 118 - 0 in the 2nd half alone.
This was a sloppy game that could come back to haunt Texas if 3 teams end the season undefeated but as long as they get the win I'm ok.

Well I don't think it should hurt you in the rankings.
Man I am glad you won, UT will make the NC game enjoyable while VT would simply remind of us Nebraska a la 2001.
VY has got to be #1 or 2 in the Heisman hype. What a great player. He has improved so much and is more complete than any other player out there.

I sure am glad that one is over. Nice win, but it looks like too many folks got hurt this week. I was hoping Texas would jump on them early and rest a bunch of starters. Hopefully the brain fart is before next weeks game against a much improved Baylor team with a pretty tough defense.
BTW, hey BTH where in the world do you work? It seems like a lot of Saturday shifts. Sucks bad, I get screwed into that as well.

HEY SKY,
are you making fun of nebraska?
for starters, its your ohio st. university who got fucked BACK TO BACK by the cocks,
or have you forgotten?
not once, BUT TWICE in a row, the sisy cocks embarrassed your buckeyes on national television,
as far as nebraska is concerned? sure we lost to miami in 01,
but thats ok, cause nebraska went into miami's crib, and won the national title, in THEIR HOUSE no less,
as for you? since you are a buckeye fan, you need to realize that there has NEVER been a buckeye team as dominant as the 95 huskers,
did you hear that fact?
for the past 100 years or so, ohio st. has NEVER produced a football team as great or as dominant as the 95 huskers,
hows that make you feel?
like a worthless faggott? thought so,

There is 10 on at any one time of the day on Saturday, prime. Are you just searching through the "sports section" of sirius? If so you are doing yourself a great disservice in selection. There are usually 4 or 5 games put in the news section and 4 or 5 on in the entertainment section as well. Big games you can often find three different stations with the game going. One is usually an ESPN or By Line broadcast, the home team, and the away teams flagship stations.
To answer the question there are usually about 20 to 30 games on in Saturdays with more being added next year.
Also the full package of NFL games as well on Sundays.
