This is it. Peyton's best chance to get his first win in Foxboro. The Colts have had a cake schedule up until now and this will be a true test to see if they really are the team to beat this year. As of right now I don't know. My confidence level is a lot higher this year than in years past. But here's what could happen...

1.) Peyton comes out and feels the hype. He feels like HE needs to win and HE needs to show that he can beat Belichick and the Patriots. In that case, I can see peyton getting happy feet, relying on the pass too much and forcing throws into places they shouldn't go. He's done it against bad teams such as San Fran and Houston already this year. If that happens, I can see the Colts losing again and football fans everywhere will calling them overrated because of their schedule.

2.) Peyton realizes from past experiences, including games from this year, that taking numerous shots downfield is not necessary. Let Egderrin James handle the load. Make the Pats D stop him 30 times. I got a feeling they can't do that. But the key is to be patient and not force things. And by doing so, he won't be putting excessive pressure on the D to stop Brady for 4 quarters. If he does this, then I believe the Colts can win this one and confirm what a lot of people are saying now.

All points valid, as they were the other times he's made the trip. This could be the year Part ______

No reason to think they will abandon their gameplan and throw the ball- they have been pounding teams all year and are now going up against a Pats D giving up an average of 129 yards a game. I think (or hope) that Peyton gets well in this game- uses the run early to set up the pass late and Indy finally wins in the Razor.

nah- I'm here with ya Rush.. I bleed green- but have been a Colts fan for a long time. They are the AFC squad I root for... I don't care what the toolbags on this site say- it is possible to root for 2 teams.

Not gripping at all. It's not like any of the other teams in our division is really going to challenge the Pats.

This game frightens me. Injuries have depleted this team to the point where they are ripe for the picking. The secondary is in shambles and we can't stop the run to save our lives. On the flipside we can't seem to run the ball ourselves either. All good things come to an end and Peyton's 0-7 in Foxboro will do the same....

Yeah, I think this is the game where Manning buys back some of the real estate that Bellichick owns in his dome. The Patriots have too many guys in their secondary that were delivering pizzas for a living as recently as three weeks ago.

The best part is that .500 might just win the Patriot's division.

I'm with dave.

Indy has won 4 roadies so far, but they've been over Baltimore, Tennessee, San Fran, and Houston.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Clots represent in the Super Bowl this year, but I'm taking NE in this particular game.

I think the reason that alot of us are lacking confidence is the defense. It is not the same as it has been in the past. When Duane Starks is a starting CB on your team you have issues. Not to mention Arturo Freeman was banging nails or whatever 3 weeks ago. Now he is playing SS against Peyton. Watching Kelly Holcomb and the moribund Buffalo offense march up and down the field last week opened alot of eyes. Richard Seymour is most likely out again this week too. Dillon is banged up. The only healthy RB is a FB who we signed 2 days ago.

Add to all of this the fact that Indy has the same healthy offense and a revamped defense. I think their numbers are inflated due to the competition they have faced. It has definently been upgraded too. That was one thing we always had over Indy. The defenses are now equal due to the MASH unit that is the Pats.

I hope I am wrong. A part of me believes what you do. We are in his dome and that counts for something. I also look at the facts though and they tell me this is not our week.

Is it weak to pick against your team? We all fling around the term "myopia" like it is an insult. Maybe it's refreshing to say I don't think they have the horses this week.......

Incorrect. I think that Seymour will play and return the pass rush that has been absent since he last played. That should take some of the pressure off of the 'MASH unit' secondary - just like it did last year. I forsee a lot of Brady roll-outs and screens set up with the Colts pash rush in mind. Dillon will run better and post more than 100 + yds and a TD for you fantasy owners. A close game for sure but Adam V. sends them home happy - AGAIN!

Pats put egg in my face, more than a few times over the last few years. How'd that bunch of scrubs get over and win 3 rings? Hell, they have put egg on my face 3 times this year by LOSING, when I picked them to win. So, I do see where you are coming from.

I just do not understand why some of the Pats fans here are waiving the white flag so fast, and so easily. Have some faith in your team. It may be blind, but have some kind of faith, none the less.

I'm with the crowd that says NE too banged up to pull off the W. Course, I was in that crowd for the playoff game last year and we saw how that one went.

I will root for my team and I will be happy to be wrong. I just don't see this Defense as being able to stop Peyton and company this time. The secondary is ripe and we are giving up way too much on the ground too. Usually in the Colt games of the past there were turnovers that helped the Pats. This year they are not taking the ball away as frequently. You saw how Kelly Holcomb went right through them like a knife through butter. Peyton, Harrison, Wayne, Stokley, James are way better then what the Bills offer. Now I find out that our SS from last week was let go in order to make room for another backup RB. Not sure who is going to play there this week. If it were at a different point in the season I would call it differently but with the injuries the way they are right now I have to call it like I see it. I hope I am wrong......

I like the Colts and think they'll finally get over the NE hump. It seems the Colts have been practicing every week this season for this game. Doing exactly what they need to do to beat NE. Running the football, minimizing the amount of time their defense is on the field, and playing good defense when they are. Edge should have another banner game while Brady will have to put the Patriots on his back Vs a very good Colts pass rush. The NE Oline, Dillon, the defense are all dinged. They will make it close, but come up short.

I can't toe the company line on this game. The Colts are trying to have us believe that "This is just another game. A loss here does not mark the end of the season..." I say maybe not the end of the season, but there's a whole lot more riding on this game than the Patriots have.

Neely, Th, chowd103 and others, tell me if I'm wrong on this. But I see from the Pats point of view, a win is another reason to laugh at Peyton and firm up the belief that Belichick really does have his number. But a loss, from a playoffs standpoint, merely puts you at .500 in a pretty weak division and your chances of winning that division are not really hurt at all.

From the Colts view, a win here they finally have beat a decent team. They have finally won in Gillette. They have finally beaten Bill Belichick. Demons are exorcized, the monkey comes off the back. The undefeated record begins to have a touch of legitimacy. And they finally can, in the front of their mind and the back of their mind, focus on the next opponent. At that point it will be "Bring on Cincy and Pittsburgh. Lets see if we can beat good teams with solid records."

With a Colts loss, they are probably one of the worst 7-1 teams in a long time. They still can't beat Belichick and the Pats. The monkey is still there and odds are that they will have to face them in the playoffs. They will have to hear all week that the first good team they played, even with a ton of injuries, was too much for them and their record was the benefit of a completely weak schedule. And even if the Colts have home field throughout, the Patriots can come to Indy bringing that demon with them and it'll be "here we go again."

The 11th hour before the biggest game your team has played since last years debacle in NE, and you're in here peeing down your leg & sniveling like a little bitch?

The Colts will not go 16-0 but they will win tonight, the first game they lose will be when they are protecting players after home field advantage is secured.

Saw that coming from a mile away. So obvious which team wanted that game more last night. Computer got fried by lightning Sunday night so posting from work.

Props to Indy. Hell of a game. Peyton looked like a man on a mission. Props to Reggie Wayne for scoring 25 points and winning me a fantasy game for the first time in a while. Hope to see you in January Colt fan.....
