I've been offered Jamal Lewis for Donald Driver.
My WR's: Steve Smith, Hines, Kennison, Galloway (start three)
MY RB's: Westbrook, M Anderson, Julius Jones, Willie Parker. Start 2

Jamal Lewis and his 2.9 yards per carry shouldn't be anywhere near your lineup. Driver is a hell of a lot more productive.

You're fairly strong in both WR and RB.
You don't need Lewis and losing Driver would hurt.
Why do it?

To me, it depends on how the scoring is based. Im one of my leagues, I make that trade in a heartbeat because RB's are the score heavy players.
In another one, I dont touch that trade because its pretty even keeled across the board, and driver is a much better commodity to have than Lewis.

There's that too.
If you get negative points for fumbles, I might bench Lewis even if 3 out of the other 4 guys listed had bye weeks.

With no Ferguson or Walker, Driver is Favre's number one target. Lewis is no more effective than Chester Taylor. I'd do the trade and see if you can grab Taylor off waivers.

You got it backwards... if I can still read, that is. He was OFFERED Lewis FOR Driver.

Exactly.

Maybe his league gives points for that.

How about Donald Driver & Aaron Brooks for Jamal Lewis & Eli Manning?

Sounds to me like you want to make a trade simply for the sake of making a trade.
What would you gain by this trade? If you had Lewis on your team, would you start him ahead of Westbrook, Anderson, or Willie Parker right now? Your current running backs are all better than Lewis, and you'd be losing a number one receiver, so I'm trying to see the upside for you.
Insofar as Brooks for Manning, again I don't see you gaining anything.

I have DelHomme as my starter right now. Good player, but he has some tough games in the second half.
I like Eli over Brooks. Brooks is too inconsistent

Then make the trade for Manning (if he'll go for it), but dealing Driver would be IMHO a mistake.

What Free agents are available for you? Then we'll move on from there.

In a CBS league I'm in, stats for Driver and Lewis YTD were:
Driver, Donald 36 rcpts 532 yds 14.8avg. 3TD FPTS 87.0
Jamal Lewis: 0 0 0 0 0 0.0 130 ru att 387yds 3.0avg. 1TD 12recpts 70yds 5.8avg. 1TD 3FMBLS 46.0FPTS
Brooks has a total of 105 FPTS, Manning has 131......
The league scoring favors QBs and RBs....
Look at the upcoming schedules for each player. If it were me, I'd take a pass.....but that's just me.....

Yep
Galloway is a hit and miss at best....
You've got to answer the question, do you need Jamal bad enough to give up about the only guy Favre has to throw it to......and Green Bay will be throwing a lot given their rb situation....

Oh and neither does Cadillac Williams. He sucks too and neither has any potential to produce for you from here on out.
Bwahahahaha. You give me shit for trading Julius Jones for Joe Horn and you drop Cadillac in week 9 for Matt Stover? A second kicker? In a 16 team league?
Bwahahahaha. Thanks, it's really nice to have Cadillac now, especially when I have been holding onto Pittman.

Enjoy bitch. I've got Barber, Jones, Parker and Johnson. Williams wasn't going to get a sniff of playing time. Enjoy his fucked up foot and watching him fight 9 guys in the box. In case you haven't heard, Tampa doesn't have a QB worth spit.
But hey, feel free to keep amusing me. And let me know when you get within, say 100 points of my point total?

Well, then I think you should make the trade. I've given you the reasons I wouldn't but you seem determined to justify it to yourself. Just pull the trigger and make the deal, then watch Jamal occupy space on your bench. Again, I can't see starting him ahead of your other backs, but that's your decision.
Good luck.....

don't get upset just because you are wrong... again.
I would also get Eli in the deal. My starter is Delhomme who has a tough second half schedule.

Look bud, it's your fantasy team not mine, I could give a shit what you do. If you want to hook your wagon to Galloway, then by all means do it. You asked for opinions, I gave you mine. It isn't "wrong", it's just different than yours.
The Giants schedule doesn't appear to be that much more favorable than Carolina's, and remember the Giants play in the NFC East, which is a division that is notorious for being hard on QBs.
Hey, it's my opinion and it's worth about what you paid for it.....

Bwahaha. Like I give a shit if I get within your point total. Who cares when you are watching me in the playoffs because you can't get in on the wildcard? In case you didn't hear, RB depth is critical especially in a 16 man league. You could have easily TRADED Caddy for something of value, but your stupid ass dropped him for a fucking 2nd kicker, Matt Stover who kicks for a team with a worthless QB (oh, who you picked up as well). You wait until he heals from his injury to give him up for nothing. Bwahahahaha. Yea, I will have fun having that insurance on Tampa and if he comes back to the level he started at, I have a solid shot at doing some severe damage come the playoffs which I stand a much better shot at making than you. At 4-4, you still need to jump 7 teams that hold a 5-3 or 6-2 record, I only have to hold off my fellow 3-5 division leader and with a team that is developing for a 2nd punch (like my teams always do), I am primed for a nice run towards the end.
Oh and Tampa is in the playoff hunt and has a decent back up learning the offense. Bwa! Tampa doesn't have adecent QB worth spit? You mean like Chicago you moron, or like Pittsburgh when Ben is hobbling on the sidelines? Bwahahahaha!
Thanks dumbass, hope you took advantage of these lessons.
Bwahahahaha. Good luck in the Toilet Bowl, sorry we won't be matching up this year so I can kick your ass.
This was easily the single worse move I have ever seen. I thought Hawk made a bad move letting Collins find his way to my QB'less team last year but this one takes the cake. LOL you do this after having the stupidity to call me out for getting Joe Horn for Julius Jones too. Have fun with Stove and stackign your defenses and kickers for nothing.

Yea, I really fucking need another RB. Let me repeat Barber, Jones, Johnson and Parker.
As it is, Parker will probably not even pull another start on my squad.
You could have easily TRADED Caddy for something of value,
For what? Another middle tier wide reciever? No thanks, I got those. For a decent QB?

Oh yea, you said the same thing about Joe Horn ha. Hmmm, looks like his first come back game was worth the wait.
Yup, those hamstrings usually put a player on IR.
![Rolling Eyes :meds:](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
I guess, Randy Moss owners should drop him too.
Hamstrings nag, chode, but they don't usually end a quality player's season. You can TRY and spin it anyway you want but you just don't drop starting running backs for kickers, especially after you waited out their injury.

You do what you do, I'll do what I do. Right now you're not even the highest scoring team in your own shitty division. So good luck knowing you HAVE to win your division.

Newsflash to BSmack - Wins and Losses are more important than points scored.
You're worse than Scott banging on me because I had an average scoring team taking 10 straight wins to the championship two years ago.
...oh and uh, you pretty much have to win your division too, numbnuts, especially if either of the current 923 point division leaders fall into the wildcard. Let's also not forget that you are 2 games down to two non-division leaders and 1 game down to two others. If you think you are making it in by not winning your division, you are dreaming.
