360 vs PS3

I've got some fucking asshole that tells me the 360 is going to be the best system.

I was diehard Sony in the last system wars and found out the Xbox was god, so I try and tell this shithead after reading wikipedia and he still tells me I'm wrong. So here is this analysis from a fucking queer to you on the events that will unfold on Nov. 22

360: Good system when it comes out. Every game that comes out for it in the next 2 years will be the greatest. If you play online this will be the system for you for the next 2 to 3 years.

PS3: The best system. It will take awhile for the full potential of this system to be realized and at the end of the day (console cycle) everyone will be playing this system. It will have the graphics and entertainment system you will want and online will overcome Xbox Live after 1 and 1/2 years. The final system to claim champion and the final system to be used in 6 years.

Revolution: You can't classify this shit. The most innovative controller ever made and the other systems will copy their idea. It's a cheap system and will bring new ideas (like the fact that every old Nintendo game will be available online) and everyone will copy. Their next controller is to be used to transform with CHEAP adaptors into a lightgun (for duckhunt) and a steering wheel. This is the system for your wife and children and you can't count them out, because your children will grow up remembering that controller that could do anything. Even more people loving the games and how they played after we are all dead.

LOSER: XBOX 360

Winner 1: Playstation: All adults will be playing this system for its graphics and online capability.

Winner 2: Revolution: This fucker is going to be cheap, those 3 year olds will NOT get enough of Super Mario 3 (THAT IS FREE) and that controller will have your kids and wife beating the shit out of you believing it is a baseball bat. If it's cheap and it provides an unbelievable amount of shit to your kids, every parent will agree.

Because Microsoft was shooting for a X-Mas release they will have a headstart on title development. The downside, is that they had to release development stats, which provided Sony with a nice fat target to shoot for.

The PS3 will come with some beefier hardware, but in gaming, that's not always the end all and be all. There are significant differences in architecture, and early reports show some development companies shitcanning PS3 development plans because of more challenging development cycles. Also, because the 360 is based on Windows architecture, there is little to be done to Port a title over to the PC, so what you'll see is one title on two platforms with essentially one development cycle. That's more bang for the buck for a development company, which is already strapped for cash.

The PS3 may wind up being a better console, but title development will really drive the end game of which system is the better to own.

Both systems will be backwards compatible so you'll see a lot of game owners sticking with the company of their current console.

Bottom line, until Sony has some playable demos, XBox will rule the roost. That may change, but will it be after many people have already upgraded their console to the 360.

Another marketing strategy for M$ will be to dramatically drop the 360 price tag after the PS3 is released, making it a bargain over the PS3.

Really, though, in the end, there will be little significant difference in performance and this battle between Sony and M$ will go to round three.

Well this cycle was clearly for profibility on Sony's end. If I was a child, I would have declared the fact that Sony ripped me off now that I have an XBox and GameCube and realize the XBox was the best system.

You are right about the games. If you notice (Final Fantasy for ex.) no company is signing exclusive contracts this time around. So, we are going to get the same deal when a game comes out for all 3 systems, if you own the PS3, you will buy that one.

In the end they are all going to make money again, but if you are going to get the 360, you better consider budgeting for the PS3 in 2 years. The 360 does have an advantage of Halo for online gaming. It's been one year and I still pop that game in and go online at least once a week.

Developers of games have realized what Halo did right and we are going to get knock offs. If their is a good one for PS3 then they could all dominate. I'm getting the 360 in two weeks, because I already put money down on it about 8 months ago and added to it over time. I'm now up in the $200- 300 range. I'm considering pulling it until the rumoured price drop when the PS3 comes out. I just don't see any games worth buying for awhile.

Get em the Revolution. ALL past Nintendo games for under $50 (on-line subscription service). I heard that is something like 300 games.

It'll be cheap and the controller transforms into other controllers. They won't be charging you for the accessories, they will be coming with the games. Shotgun for Resident Evil, Steering wheel for maybe Mario Kart, GameCube attachment controller for the next Mario, etc.
