go to an eight team playoff.
Exhibit A -- #3 v. #5, in Blacksburg.
If there were 8 team playoff selected in Dec., the loser of this major gm. probably still stays in that top 8! This is why they (the system) can only have a system in place that allows TWO lucky teams to play for the mythical title of BEST team.
But, since all we hear from the ESPN team all today is -- how Miami or especially Va Tech. HAS to win this one to get involved with Tx. and SC.
Do you really think the SUITS don't sit around and DROOL over matchups like these, as the season's in it's last weeks!? Who'd watch? If you knew that probably BOTH teams were IN unless one loses huge tonight!
I know fuggin TEXAS fans wouldn't! But; since Va Tech may JUMP them after a win tonight, they sure will be glued to that TV to root on Miami!!!
This whole bullshit ESPN/ABC scam on the people/fans called the "BCS", is just advertiser/Network suits at their money grubbin worst!
Don't EVER think that this system, which has multitudes of other fans watching these final few games; is ever going to go to an actual playoff. Even if you were to argue, that a playoff would garner big $ because of all the interest. I highly doubt it. It would only include those fans involved. The way they have it now; and during todays matchups; you have FAR more opportunities to grab up viewers (see ad dollars) during this 4 week run involving a lot of teams. This is the sadistic nature of the BCS system.
