Wow. I guess the Husker implosion is now complete. Kansas picks up their first win over UNL since 1968. 40-15. Jesus, another 10-15 years of this and I might start feeling sorry for Husker fan.

Yeah, they dry-fucked the Jayhawks 41-3 that year.

Ahhh, the good old days...

Isn't this the same Kansas team that has been offensively inept all year? I thought the defense was pointing fingers and playing blame games. Nebraska should be thankful Texas isn't on the schedule this year.

Leave it to a Texas fan to bring themselves into the topic.

To put it plainly, I'm not very happy with Callahan right now. My happiness level continues to go down every single week.

His postgame show right now is irritating. Basically is blaming the defense for not executing since the gameplan was sound.

Save your shower rod jokes, I have nooses for certain coaches on my mind.

They climbed the ladder to "offensively average" when they put Jason Swanson in at QB... he came in mid-way through the Colorado game and was able to produce some points against the Buffs despite the loss in the end. In Swanson's starts, KU is now 2-0.

Add to the fact that two of those TD's that KU scored were on defense/special teams, though (INT returned and blocked punt returned for TD's).

"I refuse to let this program gravitate to mediocrity," Pederson said Sunday, 17 hours after he met with Solich at South Stadium and terminated a coach who had compiled a 58-19 record. "We will not surrender the Big 12 Conference to Oklahoma and Texas."

I didn't come here to rub salt in any wounds as a Texas fan. When a team like KU finally exorcises demons that long in the making that is truly amazing. They finally got over and got over huge. Callahan just seems to be a bad choice to lead one of the most storied programs in the whole land. It's almost like karma for all the years of the Big Red destroying the lesser teams of the conference. Seems like a lot of storied programs have to go through some tough years. It has happend to OU, Texas, Penn State, USC, and Alabama. I really hope Callahan is fired and someone comes in and turns the program around. Nebraska is one of those schools that college football needs to be good. Great tradition, great fans and game day atmosheres deserve better than what they are currently getting.

Next year, NU also plays USC. That game and the Texas game should be real interesting and by interesting I mean absolute pastings.

Hey Mike, speaking of covetting issues, how is it you have a 4 year old, 26 point spread in your avatar?
Damn, we've been beat by worse teams by larger margins since then.
Get main stream dude.

Guess you'll be changing it in about 3 weeks. :x

I guess I just like everything that game represents. It was the end of Husker football as we knew it. The Huskers are 24-22 against 1A opponents from that game forward.

What a freaking abomination.

Eat a pus-filled dick Callahan and Cosgrove.

The sad part is that we are struggling against a sched that isn't even very good, two legit top25(three at most) on the whole thing and nobody top10. We are getting worse while others like CU, ISU, and Kan are getting better. I'm just glad we didn't play ISU when Hicks was healthy. Next year we should be playing better but it will be cancelled out by the rougher sched. I thought we'd be considerably improved next year, top25 anyway, now it looks like another low-level bowl season. Cripes.

Fortunately we have KSU coming to Lincoln next Saturday in the Revulsion Bowl, they suck and it's at home so we could actually come out with a W and go to a bowl. YEEEEEHAAAAA Our beloved AD will latch on to that as evidence of improvement and justify his lackey, who he can't afford to fire without looking bad himself anyway, getting more time.

The CU game could be very ugly, they just mopped the floor with Mizzou. Hopefully they will take us for granted and we can avoid embarrassment.

Personally I'd love to see Dan Hawkins brought in as HC. Give him the O and Marvin Sanders the D then let them loose. Keep John Blake around as recruiting ace. Other guys I'd like that are realistic: Mike Price, Pat Hill, or Gary Patterson.

They aren't sexy choices but they'd win ballgames.

Personally I wonder if the bad karma Pederson created when he hosed the 03 staff has come back to haunt us. The six new coaches we added that year were quality, bringing them in as lame ducks was just garbage. I think the same about ATM, Franchione has major negative karma after screwing the Bama players over like he did.

Of all of Barnett's flaws, taking NU for granted is not one of them. If anything, I'm worried that, in his determination to embarass the 'skers, he might pull one too many of his video game coaching tactics and have it backfire.

It seems pretty obvious that CU is the better team this year. Just go out there, call a normal game, and get the damn win, Barney.

CU will really have to screw-the-pooch to lose to us in Boulder. Like you said Barnett would have to "overcoach" the game rather than just look to get the W. It would be very Barnett-like to do that, but if he is smart he will prep for us like any other .500 team.

Why would huskerr fans be on I-29 after leaving Larryville? Wouldn't they head up 73 or 75? Not that 'skerfan can read a road map, but tribal knowledge should take over.

Have you ever driven either one of those roads? If you have, the answer would be pretty fucking obvious.

Nebraska Rte 2 from Lincoln, through Nebraska City, to across the Iowa border and to I-29 SB is the fastest way back to KC. Path of least resistance (ie - no small towns with downtown business districts & 20 MPH speed limits to get in the way).

Shit bro...Pity us now...I think this is the landmark moment of Potsy Callahan's tenure in Huskerland..Losing to these jackholes just lost him another year of clemency. If he doesn't win at least 8 next year he's gonzo.. From the tempo of the local radio sportstalk , Steve Pederson might not make it to spring. The Buffs don't have anything to worry about, our offensive line sucks worse than any of the Bob Stull teams at mizzou.

Gotta hand it to Mangino and crew, the Huskers were outcoached and outclassed.
