Westbrook signed a 6 year deal... They needed to get this done to give the locker room another big burst of juice after all the TO shite. Smart move holding onto him.

Awful lot of money for a guy who rushes the ball like twice a game......

Yes- but look at his combined yardage- he is not used like a traditonal running back.

2003- 613 rushing, 432 passing (1045 total yards)
2004- 812- rushing, 703 passing (1515 total yards)
2005- 304 rushing, 423 passing (727 to date so far this year with 8 games to go- on pace to equal or increase his total yardage from last year)

Not too much money at all- he is arguably the most important part of this offense.

I agree the guy is a great player and worth the money. I just think Reid should hand it to him more. Amazes me how much this guy loves to throw the ball. Was thinking to myself today how great he would look in a Pats uniform next year. Guess thats not going to happen now......

Nope... :D

yes- I agree- they need to run the ball more. They'll never be 50-50.. they're not stocked for that. but if he can go 65-35- I would be ecstatic!

So- they go from never running the ball to running the ball and he is supposed to get 100+ yards? Yeah- okay. The offense looked 10 times better last night- if they can keep that up and if the D can get their heads screwed on straight- there is still a chance.
