Any talk of worst teams has to include Washington, despite the presence of Mr. ChokinChicken.

Opinion.

You're right, how'd I miss the Caps.

Put them in the Isles place. Let me edit that.

The Central division of the Western Conf. is a friggin' joke, exception being the Wings. We'll see how the Preds hold up. That division has arguably the worst three teams in the NHL.

1. Ottawa...Hasek silencing doubters/best offense in the league, bar none
2. Detroit...Babcock making positive impact/benefiting from new NHL style/don't take penalties against these guys
3. Philadelphia...Forsberg thriving in new NHL, the early favorite for the Hart Trophy and has turned Gagne into a premier scorer
4. Carolina...Laviolette early favorite for the Jack Adams Trophy/Staal making strong bid for Team Canada
5. NY Rangers...Jagr is reborn/these new Rangers can play/Lundqvist needs mention for the Calder

26. Pittsburgh...they're getting better/Crosby and Mario are fun to watch
27. Washington...Ovechkin is for real/still rebuilding
28. Columbus...best of the three bad teams in the Central/should improve when Nash is healthy
29. Chicago....Khabibulin has been a major disappointment/good young talent for the future though
30. St. Louis...unquestionably the worst team in the NHL/playoff streak is coming to an end

Replace the Rangers with the Kings and you got it right. Demitra-Conroy-Frolov might be the best line in hockey. I said "might".

Great team, yes. However, the fact that they play in the mediocre Central division makes them look even better. I, for one, am extremely curious to see how Detroit will do vs Eastern div teams.

They are getting better but their defence is still a joke. Quite frankly I think they would do better playing with no goalie and 6 forwards through the whole game.

Against the Blue Jackets though...

I won't deny that they are playing well as a unit but Alfredsson, Heatley and Spezza are all in the top 8 in scoring. You can't name a more lethal line than that right now.

Don't forget they get very limited ice time late in games due to some of the high scores...they could actually have more points if they were let go and run up some scores.

Not that I think they should...

Pizza Pizza had to up the "Free Slice" promo from 5 to 6 goals due to those freaks...thanks for the slice on Saturday guys!
