skins vs raiders

the way the skins D just got rolled by phil...i mean..chris simms, oakland should put up about 60.
the one good thing for the skins is that they are playing in DC, where they have played much better. in fact, the only team in the division that lost at home- til last night- were the boys.
norv would love to stick it to snyder. brunell and moss should have their way with the D.
barring 3 fumbles by brunell, i'll take the skins- 31- 20

A very respectable score, i like it. But i'm thinking more like 31-24 Skinny's over THE RAIDUHS. Hope Norv doesn't get over like he got over on the Cowpokes the first year he coached the Skins?
I'll be leaving in the morning watching this one in Cabo San Lucas...
7 day'er with all the fishing.
Good luck to us, GO SKINS!

A Gibbs-led team in year two v. a Norvelous-led team in year two....?
Is that a contest....?
Throw in home field and the potential for a blowout is there.
Well hell, play it
anywhere and the potential for a blowout is there.
Skins are better offensively and defensively, more polished offensively, for sure.
Kerrie Collins wows-'em by tossin' for 300 yds and 2 tds.......and guess what?....loses.
This week it's the Raider defense that get's humbled.
Injuns win by at least 10.
I'll say..........
Skins - 33
'duds - 19

I like the Raiders in this one.
Haynes & Hayes will shut down Moss and Co. Millen & Long will shut down Portis while sacking Brunell 6 times. Look for big plays from Squirek and Allen.
Raiders in a laugher.
sin,
the good ole days

Fast forward to now, and the picture is fucking dreary:
Skins: 31
Duhs: 14
Let the Leinart sweepstakes begin.

c'mon, man! the bucs just put up 36 on this D. and the only excuse i can come up with is that a fumble led to a short field on one TD drive. if i were raiderfan, i'd be salivating! no, i'm not pulling a dallasfanatic- reverse psychology thing here...this D sucked last week, and they have underperformed since week 3 when they allowed seattle to drive for a game tying TD in the final minute.
but, i can understand. raiderfan is down on their team just as the skinsfan is. 2 underachieving teams makes for very little smack.
let me say that the ONLY thing i feel good about this week is the fact that its not an away game. and sean taylor should be back. the deep passes the D gave up last week without him were painful. with no pass rush, the d backs need everybody healthy.

I couldn't care less who wins, so long as Jordan gets his buck and a quarter plus 2 visits to the end zone.

You guys should really be ashamed to even be posting in this thread, as both of your teams suck this year, err ....
Never mind.

Man , it's like ,
you can see it coming before the season started .
I forget who it was , but some football talking head ( now I remember , Artie Gigantino ) said that Collins reminded him of Marc Wilson , in a positive way .
I was rolling on that one .

I feel sorry for Raiderfan. This sunday you guys clash with the best in the NFC. My heartfelt apologies are sent your way. Now onto my analysis of the game. This may sound familiar but it comes from the heart.
I see the Foreskins winning big, and I mean huge. They will do everything to disrupt Tui...errr Collins and probably knock him out for the season. The Foreskin high power offense is simply unstoppable. There isn't a defense out there this year that can shut them down. Beware NFL, the Foreskins are coming to a town near you.

Dammit Marley. You've bitten twice since I've started these Foreskin rants. Are you playing with a full deck upstairs? Are you a couple fries short of a happy meal? Just smartin up and stop replying to my foreskin rants.
The cellar of the NFC Beast shouldn't be allowed to talk anyways.

I know what you were doing... just choosing to be difficult.
And you watch- Mike McMahon is leading us to the promised land. We're running the board from here on out. :D

I just can't pick against my team no matter how shitty we look. Any given Sunday baby! Sapp was still barking till the last snap, this team does not quit. It just seems Norv just calls plays in just for the for the reason that they don't get a delay of game penalty. There seems to be no stratagy for his offense. Either run the fucking ball down their throats or not. You have a fearsome bunch of fat fuckers let them plow the field. Collins has an arm but no finess to his throws either. How many jump balls to Randy in the end zone seem to be high fast spirels instead of floaters he can and will go up and get. There hasn't been anyone since Rod Woodson was at safety and he was able to put our db's and lb's into position to make a play. They don't create turnovers we only have 2 int's and one was recorded by Warren Sapp.
We should win the next 2 games before heading to San Diego.

For the record, Norv got swept by Dallas his first year as Redskins coach (1994), but he did sweep the Cowboys in 1995, a year in which Washington went 6-10 and the Cowboys won the Super Bowl.

cbs must not have replay technology. they didnt show cooleys drop or portis debatable non first down run.
hell, why should they? its only a game......

wow- down by contact? i dindt even hear a whistle. how can you not review that?
well, it's not like the skins can score today anyhow, so they would have just run 3 plays and punted...

skins lost. couldnt pick up a few yards to get into position to kick a FG.
props to the raiders.
damn, i havent seen a skins team melt like this since norv's 7-1 and 8-3 start, only to not make the playoffs each time.
last week it was the D. this week, it was the O. at this point in the season, that is not good. nothing positive to say about this.

Keep your head up high grego. The Foreskins are still the team to beat.
(Just a heads up BD, thats 1-3 since the reverse reverse karma kicked in)

KING of page 2!!!
Nice defensive effort today by the Raiders. No props to Turner for not running the ball on 3rd and goal at the end of the game. Its about clock management Norv, make em use their timeouts! And Jordan was down, that wasn't a fumble. Good call by the refs.
Derrick Burgess is a stud,as is Kirk Morrison.

damn, are you sure jordan was down? the replay i saw wasnt great (sort of an end zone above type view- WTF was the deal with the lack of replays on CBS?? that sucked...), but it appeared he was up. could be wrong. still, i hate the friggin whistle rule. but, like i said, its not like the skins offense was moving the ball, anyhow, and they needed to at least get in FG range at that point, so i'm not bitching about it too much.
as far as burgess and company, it seems like more and more teams are having success rushing brunell this year. the O line was supposed to be fixed, but other than a few plays here and there, it aint fixed. our bookends seem to be getting worked every game- and unfortunately i think they are under big contracts for years to come.
skins are done, IMO. ya, i know they play the giants and dallas at home 2 of the last 3, and they play the rams and cards and philly, but the crap i've seen the last 2 games- and losing at home today???- they are done.

I agree. It's over. They'll win a couple more games to keep it interesting and will probably find a way to keep us on our toes down to the last week with a 7-7-1 record going into the last game, needing a win and a loss by one other team or something to get a wild card, and will lose that final game to a Koy Detmer-led Eagles team on a 60 yard Akers field goal with no time remaining.
SHOOT ME.
