Biden - Made no case for war

Hillary - Made no case for war, just supported disarming Saddam

Edwards - no case for war, supported disarming saddam

Bayh - support efforts to disarm Saddam

I didn't note that a single one of them actually supported the invasion. Supporting disarmament is not the same. Disarmament was undergoing at the time the invasion began. The weapons inspectors were looking for weapons to destroy.

That had everyones support.

Hows that for spin? :)

As spin, it weebles, wobbles, and falls down like a top reaching the end f it's run.

As blatant lies go, I haven't seen many as bold and disgraceful.

Did you fail to read the link and see the vote? Congress is decidedly tired of Bushs justification for this war, because the public is. It's time we make positive, visible moves to an exit strategy and turn over as much of the responsibilities of fighting the insurgents to the Iraqi people as is possible.
Of course it'll probably take 5 years to accomplish that, but we're still in the escalation stage of our involvement, according to the numbers of troop increases that have taken place over the last year.

No, what this is, is nothing more than the Republicans offering an alternative to Democrats demand for a concrete timetable to troop withdrawl.

True, however I think that it's also punishment for some of Bushs decisions, coupled with a fear among Repubs that if they don't address voters concerns to some extent they'll be walking next term elections.

Administrations change. Foreign policy doesn't.

The only difference between American Likud Party and American Labour Party is the intern's dry-cleaning bill.

BULL SHIP

Classic..the first one in "spin's" like a muthah, and the rest of the thread goes off topic faster than a dozen donut's disappear in Kansas City.

Did ya'll forget most the stars on that clip voted for the war?? :meds: well actually ALL of them did, so don't spin any bullsh*t about not making a case for war. :meds:

Or perhaps you can spin voting for the war when you're not making a case for it!

Let's face it Bushy, Chimpy's number's are in the dumper so every Dem in sight is jumping aboard the political bandwagon, and trying to distance themselve's from their vote. It's laughable

NO..I'm just saying they're politicaly expedient, AND stupid. You don't continue to lose election's while thinking your party is the only one that "get's it" without being stupid.

Your whole arguement sounds like:

"I can't believe those Dems were stupid enough to go along with our poorly planned, ill-advised, falsely led Iraq policy!"

Seriously. You're not the first one to force this topic. I've been hearing this "talking point" for about three days now.

I don't wonder at all. Back in 2003 while Bushice and other moderates were queing their Lee Greenwood CDs, I was calling this sham war exactly what it was. It should come as a surprise to nobody that one of the anti-war candidates of 2004 now controls the Democratic Party machinery.

Mike,

Before you make Cuda look smart and well informed, could you take the names of the Republicans and the Democrats who are no longer in office off your list of "Democratic Leaders"?

TIA

Am I reading this P_Ugh Crapfest correctly?

First you have a de$pot Admin who cons a Nation with their lies, and NOW as the Bu$h Corp BS begins to unravel, it's some how the fault of the Poli-Dems who got swindled beyond measure into believing the de$pot lies.

If these lawyer hearted tards are actually trying to place the blame for their elected monstrosity on the victims of deceit, then that is just too Freakin Rich.

Are they running out of excuses for their stupidy, or What?
