The Lakers suck.
Do not ever, ever compare machine gun kobe to MJ again. Ever.
kobe is a ball hogging punk. Nothing without Shaq.

I hope you enjoy looking at them more because they will be the last for some time to come. Hopefully until the rapist retires but certainly not in the next 3 or 4 years
.

Its good to see LA fans reliance on referencing past championships doesn't hold to football only.

Laughable coming from a pussy whose entire basketball and football team combined has 1 fucking championship banner.

Melt? Kobe isn't good enough to carry the team. Sorry, it's not a melt but fact. Hell, he can't even get to the playoffs. This was/is his big chance to prove to everyone that HE was the man, not Shaq.
Results so far.......the lakers suck WITH kobe.
Make sure you dust off those trophies. The case won't be opened again for awhile.
PS The past champion smack is pretty fucking lame dude. How about TODAY? Oh yeah....you suck. I forgot...the rest of the NBA is on notice. WHat a tard.

In my posting existance I have
never started a thread, nor posted in an NBA forum. In fact, I could give a fuck. Basketball sucks cock and is completely unwatchable
at best.
I threw out the lure and easter seal tards bit-how surprising.
Thanks for the laughs and melts, dipshits.
By the way, is the demographic correct concerning the people who watch the NBA-I mean, are you all a bunch of white middle aged balding old men? No doubt most of you probably are.
Oh, and who was the last team to 3 peat? Yep, thats right-The Lakers.
You fucking tards
still lose to someone who doesnt give a fuck.

Lakers may suck this season, but it appears that Los Angeles fans still have a basketball team to root for. Has anyone else noticed the Clippers are 9-2 and currently beating the Nuggets???

Ok so the Clippers are now 9-3 courtesy of the Nuggets.
Still, I think hell has frozen over when I read "this is the Clippers best start in franchise history".

THe Spurs bench could beat the Lakers starters.
Van Exel
Barry
Finley
Horry
Nazr
Is better per man than all the Lakers starters except Kobe.

MJ and Kobe arent even in the same class. Jordan made his teammates better. Kobe freezes out his. Kobe is one of the Top 5 players in the league, but Jordan was the best ever.

Yup.
And Sissy...wow. Just wow.
If you're going to even
try and make the argument that Wilt isn't the best center ever, you had fucking well better be bringing the name Russell to the table. Because if you think Shaq's name belongs anywhere
near this discussion, the people who actually have an idea what the fuck they're talking about are going to have a pile-on the likes of which the NBA forum has never seen...
Just so's you know, you ignorant tool.
Bring it on, or shut up...your choice, dumbass.
This soooooooooo isn't going to end well for you.

I keep thinking that one of these days, Sissy is going to break out the "I was just trolling" card, but dude actually seems to believe the horseshit he posts.
Babs notwithstanding, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that Sissy is the dumbest "adult" -- and I use that term liberally -- to ever post on the Internet.

Shaq, no.
Kareem, you have a valid argument.
And the Lackers still suck and are never going to win squat with that POS rapist.

Impossible to even defend myself since you old fucks wont let go of the past. Its like arguing w/ my dad. I dont shit on your takes when I think they are wrong, b/c everyone has an opinion.
Personally, I would take Shaq, then Wilt, then Kareem. I think SHaq has played against more guys his size and w/ the league being as physical as it is now, Shaq doesnt get as many calls as he would have gotten if he played in Wilt's day. Wilt had Russell, but he was a lot bigger than the other Centers of his time. If Shaq was guarded by guys 6-8, 6-9, it wouldnt even be fair.

Holy shit, Sissy -- when we accuse you of being a fucking retard, you're supposed to post things that
refute it.
Holy fucking shit. I was going to post something about "getting me and Dio to agree on something," but I'm a little too aghast at your balls-out stupidity to even adress it.
Probably the most moronic basketball "take" I've ever read on these boards. Props.

SHaq gets fouled everytime down the court. He should be getting to the line 20 times a game at least.

On which planet is this occurring?
There is NO player in the history of the game, not even Michael Jordan, who has benefitted more from "popular vote" officiating than Shaq. This isn't even a close contest, although I'm sure you'll try to reinforce your complete ignorance by claiming otherwise.

I don't know why you try, either.
But a better analogy would be like it's like trying to run your car into a brick wall to test its bumper. When you do something superlatively stupid, you never win.
There is no room for debate here. The only thing up for debate at this point is at what IQ do humans lose the ability to breathe unassisted?
You are trying to make points that you don't have the knowledge base to try and make. All you are doing is looking like an idiot trying. You'll have an easier sell trying to convince me that the world is flat, which is about as relevant as your Shaq/With/Lew "comparisons."

Thats the point. I dont have to convince you of shit. Who the fuck are you? The Schwab?? You have an opinion, and I have one. There are experts and people in the sports world that would agree w/ each of us.
Now I know why you arent married man. No one could possibly stand being told that they are constantly wrong all the fucking time.

You're still not catching on, but that's because you're a fucking retard.
Sure, the "Greatest Ever" is an enormously subjective thing.
What defines it can be a lot of things.
It can be the best clutch-shooter(sup Larry Bird or Jerry West).
It can be the best inside scorer, the unstoppable force(sup Wilt and Kareem).
It can be that guy who puts the team on his shoulders and finds a way to win (sup Michael Jordan).
It can be the defensive giant, who gaurds the paint with reckless abandon and scoops up every rebound available(sup Bill Russell and Bill Walton).
It can be the best all-around player, who just contributes in every way (sup Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson).
"The Greatest Ever" can be construed as a lot of different things/players.
One thing The Greatest is not...is Shaq. Certainly a player who had the neccessary tools to star in his era (which WILL be considered a "dark time" in the history of the game in years to come...there's a reason why ratings/ticket sales have plummeted in the WWNBA), it's an insult to denegrate truly great players by throwing Shaq in that mix. The man has very little skill at the game of basketball, and if we put in a "no dunks" rule, I would beat that guy at a game of Horse ten times out of ten, twenty times on Sunday. Sorry, but if I can handle the ball better than someone, shoot better than someone, and do absolutely everything that involves a basketball better than a person, except for throw it down, no one has any business lumping that person in with the all-time greats. Sorry, not a valid entry.
And I realize it's before your time, but would you care to remind me what happened when this "greatest center of all-time" went head-to-head in a series against that one African guy? Who was the "all-time best" that week again? That was a schooling of the highest order, which I'm not sure how you're going to try and explain away, but I'm certain it will be stupid.

Shaq was what, 3rd year in the League?? Hakeem was a seasoned pro. I am not saying Shaq is the greatest player of all-time, but I still believe he is the best Center of all-time b/c of his size and power. SHaq is a great passer for a big man and played his best in Champion games, when it mattered.
No knock on Wilt, but he couldnt shoot any better than Shaq and his free throws were just as bad. They both owe some of their success to being bigger than their opponents.
If I could pick one team, to play anybodybody:
Magic
Jordan
Oscar
Russell
Shaq

You really are fucking retarded, aren't you? I mean, why else would you
contradict yourself when trying to make your point?
Shaq had more "power" in his early years than he does now. Hakeem GROSSLY overpowered him.
And
according to you, Shaq was playing "his best" ball, and he got his fucking clocked cleaned in one of the all-time clownings in Finals history.
So, which is it, Sissy? Was he playing "his best" in that championship when he was humiliated, or was he the "best ever" because he got hammered when he was at "his best"....you're really not making any fucking sense at this point.

Look at Shaq's numbers in the Finals that year? They were damn good. I am referring to the 3 straight championships he won in LA. Easily the most dominant numbers every for a big man in history of the Finals.
Posted: Tue Mar 14, 2006 5:46 pm
by Dinsdale
And Shaq is what...3-2 in Finals appearances?
Staggering dominance.

So, where does Russell fit in to that line of reasoning?
Posted: Tue Mar 14, 2006 6:20 pm
by Cicero
Russell was the best PF of all-time. I have him on my all-time team. He is the ultimate winner, but at 6-9 225 pounds I dont think of him as a Center.
Posted: Tue Mar 14, 2006 6:33 pm
by Dinsdale
Despite what the bio says, Hakeem was about 6-10 and maybe 235. And he sure the fuck shut Shaq down, and Russell was arguably a stronger man than Hakeem.
So much for that theory, eh?
Posted: Tue Mar 14, 2006 6:48 pm

In your eyes man. Hakeem was bigger than 235.
