Should have 7 or 8 but Kelena got some very bad advice.WolverineSteve wrote:probably got 6 or 7 NBA'ers on the squad too.

Yeah, Iowa pissed that one away. Oh well, it's early. We're Top 15 right now and we sure as hell don't deserve it. But by the end of the year, I think we will be. I didn't think either Iowa or Texas played all that well.
Hopefully, we can beat NC State on Wednesday. I think that would be a huge confidence boost for this team heading into a tough stretch of games.

It's December now. We only win in November.
Seriously, though, UNI is a good team. Laugh all you want, but they played really well. We didn't play that bad. We should have won the game, but it wasn't as bad as it seems if you didnt see the game. Had Jeff Horner not gone down with an injury we would have won. That's not an excuse, it's the truth. They took the lead late in the game on a play where Horner was guarding the ballhandler and took a wrong step and fell down. Of course, that left his man wide open. He nailed a 3, which was the biggest shot of the game. Plus, we didn't have the most experienced player in the nation for the overtime period (Horner), but instead had a true freshman running the point on the road. Hopefully, Horner is allright. Probably will be out for a few weeks though.
But hey, it's one game. And UNI is a good team. They have everyone back from a team thats been to 2 straight NCAA tournaments. They'd win a lot of games in the Big-10. Plus, we are their Super Bowl. They even admit to it.

Ben Jacobson is nails down the stretch of any game. Coleman is the best unknown big man in the country. He may not get the publicity from Dookie V but he could start for any team in the country. Grant Stout, Eric Crawford, and John Little are also a few guys that would get quality minutes in a major conference. But Jacobson and Coleman will be playing in the NBA someday.
