No heart, no passion....

Burn the black uni's. I don't think they've ever won with them, and they're brutal.

Jeff Garcia is not the answer. Joey was yanked too quickly today. He was not playing poorly. The 2 early to's were not his fault.

Why has mooch abandoned the running game.

Scottie Vines has outplayed Charlie Rogers, Mike Williams, and gives a better effort than Roy Williams.

The o-line is abysmal.

Dre Bly with one arm was the best defender on the field. He should not have missed as much time as he has though. Why couldn't he have been playing with that club all along?

If Crumpler is the only recieving threat...how does he catch so many balls?

Mike Vick is still waaaaaay overrated.

Mooch is showing he's a fraud.

No TO to save him in detroit.

His running back is at a 8 yard/carry clip, yet he gets no carries for 2 quarters.

When is the NFL finally going to break tradition and run the lions from the Thanksgiving day game so that they, and their fans, don't have to suffer any more embarrassment on national TV?

There are rumors that Moochie may not have his job anymore by the weekend .

His head is on the chopping block after yesterdays game .

From KFFL :

Lions | Mooch on the firing line?
Thu, 24 Nov 2005 21:05:53 -0800

Nicholas J. Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions head coach Steve Mariucci's days might be numbered following a 27-7 Thanksgiving loss to the Atlanta Falcons - a game players called "ugly" and "embarrassing." Team president Matt Millen declined to comment Thursday, Nov. 24, on whether Mariucci's firing was imminent or whether there would be a meeting soon to discuss Mariucci's future. Mariucci's eyes were moist and his voice was low at his post-game news conference, and he took only a few questions. "There's a lot to do, and it starts with me, and I accept that responsibility," Mariucci said.

*edit*

If Moochie gets canned , and Favre doesn't retire ........

If I were the owner of the Lions I would have stopped the game in the 3rd quarter and fired Mooch on the spot. That was one of the poorest efforts by an "NFL" team I have ever seen.

I don't know why Millen gets a pass in all this. Millen is Mariucci's boss, and maybe he's done some good things for the Lions, but all I've ever noticed was whis mistakes.

Mariucci's problem is probably that he's at the point with ownership & management that he no longer knows what he's allowed to do & what he's not allowed to do and that's been transferred to the team.

Those blacvk uniforms are fugly, btw, and so are Dallas's throwbacks.

No, Mariuchi's problem is that his players don't have any respect for him and his game plan is absolutely fucking idiotic. Giving a 1000 yard back 4 carries against the Falcons defense is nothing short of retarded.

He's gone. Perhaps today, or maybe next week. Look for Kevin Jones' "injuries" to suddenly clear up with the announcement of Dick Juron as HC.

Amen about Millen. He has donr nada as President there. His drafts have been busts, the team isnt getting better, and he has made 2 dumbfuck comments that he ended up having to apologize for. Would it of hurt the Lions to draft some OL help? Perhaps THATS the real problem. Instead of loading up on recievers how bout giving Harington or Garcia more then .01 seconds to throw the ball?

Out of Millen and Mariucci, Mooch would be the first to go because of his system just doesn't fit this team's talent. He doesn't adjust to what he's got. Millen is plenty at fault for loading up the offense with kids and not putting in an All-Pro line in front of the quarterback. Aside from Woody, I say wipe out the rest of the o-line. The defense has promise but I'd like to see a top notch edge rusher...they've lacked that since Porcher retired. The linebackers are quick and hard-hitting but can't stay healthy. The secondary, when healthy, is solid. The defense isn't a shutdown defense like Chicago...they are more of a takeaway defense. Mooch probably won't get fired before the end of the season but his pink slip was filled out when he laid another egg on Thursday.
