I imagine that if that matchup happens. A lot of people will care.
Isn't it basketball season?
Or did Hawaii send you over to the Girl's Soccer forum.

It’s all about jealousy. MSU couldn’t total ten wins if they played both teams 100 times apiece. I personally would lean towards 6 being the o/u.
Would have figured that you would have disappeared from this forum, seeing that you've got nothing to contribute. That still hasn't stopped you from still posting...go figure.
You may want to go hang out at the College B-ball forum, where MSU has half a chance at winning, unless they are playing teams from the WAC.

Yeah. Alamo people should be getting their moneys worth there, boy! Woooo-HOOOOOO!!!!! #23 v. #36 !!!!!!
At least in the past, they had teams in the top 20 playing there. All this is, is another chance for 2 weeks of practice, and schmoozing some Tx. HS recruits!
I'll be an OU fan, btw; since hanging that HUG FIVE next to scUM's name will look awful sweet.
Go Sooner Boomer Scooners, errrr.... whatever.....!!!!!

San Antonio puts on a pretty good bowl game. Fans of both schools are going to love the atmosphere especially the Big 10 fans who will really like the weather. I'm in SA as I type this and it is a perfect day. Temp is 62 and there is not a cloud in the sky.

Yeah UM and OU are a disgrace right?
You fucking idiot.
It would be a great matchup of two perrinial powers, and I relish this possibility. Too often when UM has a so-so year we go to a bowl and play Miss., or NC St, or Arkansas...this is a real matchup.
Not that statefan would understand tradition or bowl games or anything about cfb.
Fuck Off
And FUCK state!!

Fuck another San Antonio Christmas.
The only reason I enjoy the trips is to make fun of the oodles of Big12 oppenants that are always there.

On the Fla/Fsu game they were sying UF/OU in the Independence Bowl.
BTW I think San Antonio is nicer than Shreveport.

Dude, that is the biggest understatement I have seen in a long time.
Shreveport is like smelling an arm pit that has not been washed in a month and just after they let someone fart it.

Babs running bowl smack is hysterical. I don't give two shits about where Michigan ends up but the bottom line is that the Spartans are sitting at home for the holidays and they haven't fired Smith yet. If you go into another season with that guy, they'll won't go to a bowl next year either.

I heard that too, but I don't see anyway OU falls that far. Heck, for my money, the only reason OU doesn't go to the Holiday Bowl is that in all likelihood, UCLA goes there from the Pac-10, and they don't want to repeat a regular-season matchup. I don't see any possible way the Alamo passes on OU.

GO SCOOMER - BOONERS, errrrrrrr........ whatever!!!!
Hang a big FIVE next to LLLL-oyds 05 record!!!
Oh, and btw - what's LLLLoyds record vs. ND and OSU?!
Cummon! Tell us!!!!
Dumbass.
I heard the other day, that of LLLLoyds 33 losses in 11 years, 18 times, Mich held a 4th quarter lead!
EIGHTEEN times!!!!!
Kinda reminds me of peoples misconception of Brett Favre.
Dude won a title. Has an MVP award. But look at how OVERATED he actually is. I think Favre is up to like 35 games in his career, he's had at
LEAST 3 int's or more in a game! That fucking sucks ass. No argument at all about that. Go look up the dudes line stats, year by year. Incredible, that some think so highly of him. I think he's slightly above average, when you talk career NFL QB's. IMHO.

Wow. While most in this forum root for one team, Babs roots for 12. And I'm guessing he would rather see the other 11 do well than the 1.

Did #36 OU even beat a ranked team this year?
Of the TWO they played?
No?
Oh, that's right. Tex-ASS creamed them, and Taco Tech finished off their hopes of actually BEATING a ranked team.
Cyclone fan will be PISSED if OU gets the Big-12 second selection after Tx.
At least ISU beat a #8 ranked Iowa back in Sept.
 Why would OU get the #2 bid?
No, OU is destined for San Antone' with the Weasels from Ann Arbor, ranked #23.

I really don't think Michigan is going to the Alamo Bowl. From everything I've seen Michigan is going to the Outback Bowl. But I wouldn't expect an informed football take from SpartyFan.
Its hard to accept this abuse from MSUFan, what bowl are you fucks going to? Did I miss something or when did 5-6 qualify your team to talk shit? Who did you beat, besides Notre Dame, which I am going to put there under the Michigan let down theory.
You got beat at home by Michigan, Northwestern and Penn State. You lost to Purdue and Ohio State and Minnesota. Hell you won your 3 non-conference games, Most teams would love that start, I know that Michigan and Ohio State would have preferred that.
But yet again you guys chocked away a season, you let Michigan destroy your pathetic dreams of a Big Ten Title, (let me know when you catch up with the University of Chicago by the way). You aren't a football school, you never will be, accept your role as our bitch.
Hold onto your basketball dreams too, its just a matter of time before we take that away from you too, just like Hockey.

I think it depends on what happens to tOSU. If tOSU goes to the BCS, then Michigan is in the Outback. If not, they're in the Alamo.
At one point I was leaning toward ND and Oregon being the at-large teams this year, but now I'm beginning to lean toward tOSU and ND, which puts Michigan in the Outback.
Btw, that might also put Oklahoma into the Holiday rather than the Alamo. The only reason the Holiday would have to pass over OU is if it has to invite UCLA from the Pac-10, in which case they would not want to repeat the regular-season matchup. But if Oregon doesn't reach the BCS, the Holiday could invite Oregon instead.
Holiday Bowl matchup will be either UO-OU or UCLA vs. CU or UNL.

Nebraska does not deserve the Holiday Bowl.

SunCoastSooner wrote:Nebraska does not deserve the Holiday Bowl.
Not saying they do, but if the opponent is UCLA, who goes from the Big 12?
Your alternatives are not very appealing from the Holiday's perspective. Oklahoma already played UCLA in the regular season. Colorado won the Big 12 North (the ultimate consolation prize), but lost its last 2 games (probably will make it 3 this week), and its fan base doesn't travel well (although there is a substantial CU alumni population in Southern California). Iowa State doesn't have the kind of name recognition on a national basis they'd like. And with 8-3 Oklahoma still available, the Holiday can't consider Missouri or Kansas.
So imho, if UCLA gets the other invite, it comes down to this: do you take the team that won the Big 12 North (Colorado), or the team on something of a roll (Nebraska)?

Check it:
Iowa State actually BEAT a top 10 team.
OU didn't do shit vs ANY ranked team.
Iowa State deserves the Holiday before OU.
OU is a solid as a rock Alamo team. Mark it down.
tOHSU doesn't get the respect they once did, after their tainted MNC a few years ago. The Fiesta people are looking for a West Coast audience, to go along with the National audience that ND brings.
Oregon gives them that.
OSU to Capital One. PSU vs. Va Tech. in Orange Bowl. Wisc. to Outback. - MEESHIGAN to play in an epic #23 v. #36 battle with OU, in San Antonio.
OU v. MI. - Two pretty big names in CF lore, going toenail to toenail. Why are you people so bent on having MEESHigan play a boneheaded GameCock team? Who the fuck cares to watch that shit?
It''s about matchups and ratings for TV, people.
OU is playing Michigan.

and Spartan Nation will make up about .008% of the tv nation...why you ask? They don't qualify for bowls...
nice program...hey you keep talking about tOSU and the tainted title...let me ask you did the NCAA hand down any penalties? UH NO...are you tom friend trolling as babs=bitch=i make mTardlooklikeheknowswhatheistalkingabout=fucking idiot?
fuck off...say what you want about UM vs OU but the fact is UM, tOSU, PSU, etc are all sharing their bowl money with your mouth wide open ready to tea bag squad...too bad the Spartans couldn't partcipate and actually bring something to the table...oh wait you do a FUCKING EMBARASSMENT...too bad Mgo has an ass like you as a Sparty on this board...Mgo actually has game and what not...you are a whiny little cunt...

Yep. You're a fucking idiot. Explain how Oregon would be a bigger draw, TV ratings wise, than Ohio State?
