Fucking
![Rolling Eyes :meds:](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
x 1000.
What a fucking joke. Let me get the sacking up part out of the way first...
Props to Callahan and the Huskers for thoroughly outcoaching & outplaying Colorado. Nebraska played better than I've seen them play all year. Instead of Barnett calling the trick plays and watching them backfire, it was Callahan pulling out all the stops and seeing it work flawlessly. Was that a fucking option I saw in the 3rd quarter??? I haven't watched every play of every Husker game for the past two years, but that's the first option I've seen them run in the Callahan era. Nebraska beat us in pretty much every aspect of the game. What more can I say? CU is officially owned again...
Un-rack the idiot fans in the student section for reinforcing every negative stereotype that's been thrown around about CU fan for the past 15-20 years. At least they seemed to be directing their anger at those who deserved it the most - the CU players who stunk up Folsom for 3 hours instead of the handful of Husker fans who didn't return their tickets and actually came to the game. But still, a totally classless display that will be brought up ad nauseum for the next 10 years when people talk about why they don't come to Folsom.
Grudging racks to Adelpiero for calling a spade a spade back when CU was 7-2 and had me (and others) fooled into believing they were actually a good team. You were right bro. CU is mediocre at best. They are the least shitty team in a division of cripples, and after their showing on Friday, even that is debatable. So there. I've racked you. You were right. I was wrong. You can put that in your sig and stop resetting the "10 wins" thread now.
And big-time props to ISU for choking away the division yet again and letting CU limp into the CCG for yet another ass-raping before their early December bowl date. You couldn't even finish off fucking Kansas? Way to go. So instead of a mildly intriguing CCG between Texas and a hot ISU team that they at least haven't played yet, we get CU/UT II - The Embarassment Continues. I have done a complete 180 on this over the past year. Fucking CCG's are such a joke. Much like the BCS, they only rarely do what they're supposed to do - match up the two best teams in the conference (or country). Props to the Pac 10 for getting it right in 2006. Play every other team in the conference and it ain't hard to figure out who's the best.
You guys want bitter irony? I've got bitter irony. So two years ago, I have two extra tickets to the CU/NU game because AZhusker's dog got sick at the last minute and he & Mrs. AZ couldn't make the trip. He offered to pay me for the tix, but I was like "Naw, don't sweat it. I'll just sell them to a couple Husker fans and make a killing." They were in the NU section even. Guaranteed $$$. Well, turns out it was a buyer's market and I ended up selling the pair (face value $50/ea) for $20 halfway through the 1st quarter. Fast forward two years, and this time, I'm playin' it smart. I don't even bother to get tickets to the game. Hell, Nebraska returned 140+ of their allotment. That hasn't happened in decades. I should be able to get in for $20-25 tops, right? Wrong, of course. My friend and I drive up to the game, pay $10 for parking, and tailgate for a couple hours before heading towards Folsom to score some cheap-ass tix. Well apparently, a lot of CU fans wanted to work on their water bottle chucking technique, because nobody was selling for less than $10 over face. I didn't even bring that much cash with me, so after hanging around for a bit waiting to see if prices go down, we just give up, walk back to the car, and drive back to Westminster. Oh, but it doesn't end there. I call up some friends who were watching the game at TGI Friday's. They were pissed because it was only on one screen with no sound. I tell them to meet us at Fox & Hound, which is a sports bar close to my mom's house. We park at F&H and when I call my sister (a Husker fan) to see if she wants to join us, she delivers yet another devastating blow - Fox & Hound is a fucking Husker bar. So not only did I not get into the game, not only did Nebraska punk CU, but I got to watch that steaming pile of shit at a Husker bar in Colorado. :x
Happy Thanksgiving fuckers. New avatar to come...

CU is a mediocre team, for christs sake, because they are the best of the cripples, that equates to being good? what the fuck, people must be sinking to new lows when it comes to grading teams. There is noone in North, and outside of tech and tejas, noone i would consider good in the Big12 . All bad to mediocre.
CU goes 1-2 in last 3.(they will still win North, bad isn't it)
I guess 10 wins is out of the question now! buwahaha

I'm glad that you can take such joy in my favorite team being not quite as sucky as yours. Soak it in, man. Savor this moment. You are a prognosticator of epic proportions.

After all, Atleast CU has some sort of upside going into next year. MU will blow Moneky balls. 6 wins would be a miracle next year.

I was fairly shocked at the way this game went. The 62-36 wallop was so resounding that I wasn't expecting to see NU celebrating in this series for quite a while. Rack the M-Dub writeup, as usual.

Taking the time outs in a blowout with a few seconds left also showed all of the class we've come to expect from that program.
Ducksfan still remembers the fake punt in the blowout, for which CU should pay for for many years to come. I hope NU never again calls off the dogs after that display. CU deserves all of the humiliation that's waiting for them down the road. Screw playing the freshmen -- it's all about hanging 70+ on CU.

I formally wish to retract all my props to CU they suck just like every other team in the North.
Every team in the North needs to pull their heads out of their ass and start fielding teams that are atlease half way decent or this conference is going to fall behind the Big East.

Sad part is that CU was probably hoping ISU would win this weekend. The north title means absolutely nothing now, little before nothing now, all it gets you is a beating by Texas.
Nice job of playing not to lose ISU, unless you have a BIG lead you keep your foot on the freaking gas. For the second year in a row they blew the title by getting upset in the finale. Nice.
On the bright side anyway, the north does have five bowl-eligible teams.
One of us should be able to win a freaking bowl, maybe two. ISU has the best chance, Hicks should be healthy again by bowl-time and after the KU game they should be ready to fight.
The reality of the Big 12 right now is that nobody outside of Texas is very good. On a particular day anyone can beat anyone out of the rest. Bowl season probably won't be pretty.

I say the North should just adopt the Big 1(1)'s rallying cry. "It's not that we all suck, it's that we're all so tough and we just beat up on each other."

M-dub, you, as always, come in an nut up when your team gets blasted. I expect no less from you. In some of my posts after the game, I mentioned how classless CU fans were at the game. I want to point out to everyone that I think M-dub is one of the best Big12 people on this board. I have no problem with him, just his team, their players, their coaches, their fans and their sportswriters.
That was pretty funny that you had to watch the game with a bunch of NU fans. Nice...
Was I surprised that NU layed a can of whoop ass on CU? Absolutely. Did I think they were going to win? I had a weird feeling they were going to, but of course, I forgot to even write it here, but see my pick 'em pick of NEB for verification.
CU players - Nice classy display before the game. Way to talk trash during pregame and then not back it up. Nice cheapshot on our QB when he called time out. He didn't hear the whistle? Didn't he wonder why everyone was standing around while the refs had their timeout motion going?
CU coach - Classy comments from Barnett before halftime about his team being insulted by NU running a no huddle in the last seconds before halftime. Memo to Barnett, it's called a two-minute drill and every team practices one. Did enjoy seeing the pained expression on his face the whole game, though.
CU fans - We've always known a lot of them are lame brains. I heard from a fan that went to the 91 game (19-19 tie) in which NU had a chance to win on the last play with a field goal, but were being pelted with snowballs from the fans. NU misses and the CU fans next to my friend say and I kid you not, "You guys got so lucky!" I am SOOO glad the whole nation got to see their display with Mike Tirico complaining about it the whole time.
CU sports writers - There's a column out there about how the columnist had heard from NU fans proclaiming that NU deserved to get in the Big 12 championship game instead of CU and how CU backed in just like NU backed into the championship game in 01. He then goes on to logically point out that CU is 5-3 in conference while everyone else is 4-4.
Hey idiot, I think every NU fan I've talked to understands that. In fact, we were all rooting for KU to win just so CU could go back to the Big 12 championship game for another public humiliation.

"Iowa State, of all the Iowa States in the world, you're the Iowa Statiest."
How many games has ISU lost in the last 3 or 4 years because they couldn't kick a damn field goal?

FWIW, i thought ISU got jobbed in the bowl game/last second FG potential game winner against Bama 4-5 years ago. that kick was good.

Same Kansas team that seems to shit in your team's Wheaties on a semi-annual basis, so I don't know why you're acting so shocked.
Props on your
cough back door entrance into a championship game that you should have walked into without resistance.

WTF are you talking about? 2 wins in 10 years hardly qualifies as "semi-annual," tard. The last time Kansas beat CU was 5 fucking years ago in 2000, which, not coincidentally, was CU's worst season since 1984. I was almost as happy as you were that you guys finally beat Nebraska this year, but don't go thinking that that win, coupled with a win over perennial choke artists ISU gives you the right to run smack at CU fan. You sorry-ass team is one of the few that CU can actually claim serious
![BODE :bode:](./images/smilies/mad_bode.jpg)
on. Enjoy your shitty bowl game. What qualifies as a major disappointment for CU is a reason for KU to celebrate. Get back to me during basketball season if you wanna run your mouth...

Beautiful meltdown, douchebag.
No one said that KU had historical 'bode on Colorado... I just found it ironic that you're so quick to label KU as an easy win when Colorado seems to have trouble with them every couple of years, whether KU wins outright or takes CU to the mat in overtime.
You're a perfect representative of the shitty fan base you criticize.

That was hardly a meltdown. I just called you out on your bullshit statement and, of course, you backpedalled like crazy. If you had just said "Hey, KU has given Colorado quite a few scares over the past few years" I would've agreed with you wholeheartedly. The Jayhawks have certainly had me sweating bullets a few times in recent years. But "shitting in your Wheaties" kind of implies
actually winning, don't you think? Maybe it's just semantics.
Regardless, if you actually repped your team in here on a "semi-regular" basis, instead of just popping in to pile on after wins over Mizzou and Nebraska, or to try to run smack on a team that, while certainly mediocre, is still ultimately better than yours, I might've given you the benefit of the doubt.
And as far as your redundant comment about backing into the CCG, that's pretty much what this thread was about. I don't want to get into a long dissertation on the subtle nuances of sarcasm, but rest assured that the title of this thread was typed with tongue planted firmly in cheek.

Not a cheap shot by any stretch of the imagination. The center snapped the ball and the QB took it. If he'd called a time out, why did he take the snap? And the refs didn't start blowing their whistles until the hit had already been made. It was a fucked up call, but had nothing to do with the eventual outcome of the game.

Valid point. Barnett says a lot of dumb, ill-advised, classless and/or clueless things. My impression of him as a coach has always been that he's a mediocre, second-tier type of guy who sometimes overachieves & breaks into the top 25. They can't afford to fire him & pay him off, so he'll be around until his contract runs out.

91? I was at that game and your "friend" is full of shit. No such thing happened on the field goal- period.
CU sports writers - There's a column out there about how the columnist had heard from NU fans proclaiming that NU deserved to get in the Big 12 championship game ...etc, etc, etc
Got a link? Nothing like that in any of the local papers- although I admit I don't get the
student newspaper; maybe that's where you "read" it

Yes, Texas will probably hang another beating on the Buffs. No denying that. But then N-is-for-Knowledge-Fan is well known for being two-faced. Way back when the Corn was contending for a National Championship (which will never happen again in your lifetime, btw), Dr. Osborne used to beg & plead for Conference Loyalty & please everybody in the Big-8/12, vote for the Corn for #1- yet back in '90, when CU was in the Top Spot, Dr. Tom cast his vote for GaTech.
Hey, at least CU beat MU & KU this year, so blow me Corn Fan

Uh oh, I just said "take." You're gonna have a field day with that one, aren't you?
