College Football doesn't 'need' a playoff system nearly enough for the US Congress, for crying out loud, to get into it's business.
Congress can find a way to quit throwing my tax money down the shitter year after year before they tackle the blot on humanity that NO COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF is.
THAT is what Congress can do for us.
I put down MY plan for a college football playoff system in the CF forum a week-or-so ago.
College football has one of THE best regular seasons of ANY sport going, and that is, in large part, because they DO NOT have a playoff.
A playoff, unless it is done correctly, will SEVERELY compromise the regular season and do more damage than good, IMO.
They need to follow MY playoff plan, or keep it as it is. :wink:

It's all a crock of shit. While I can agree with Congress stepping in to CFB if there were on going issues with drugs and the like, I can't for the life of me see why they feel the need to get involved here.
It's sports, no harm is being done because the shit heads running the BCS are raking in coin and leaving doubt about who they call their champion. Maybe a kid growing up will want to play D1-AA and lower just for the chance to say his team one a real playoff tourney.

Ironic that they decide THIS is the year to gut the BCS when this year is the first year that there's no doubt who the #1 and #2 teams are.
