I saw that, but I dont know how much weight their rumors carry. Last year they said that Tennessee's OC Henshaw was coming, and they said Jeff was a candidate for the Liberty job this year and he wasnt even a finalist. I would love to see him go and I think it would be a great hire for Rice.

Anyway ............rumor on Mike and Mike this morning said that Carroll would possibly be interested in the Texans job if they gave him full control. With the possibility that the Texans get the #1 pick and Bush, does anyone think Carroll would be interested? I say no, b/c that organization is flawed and that is a major, major project for a guy who could be competing for MNC's year after year.

Why would you hire Jeffy other than for the fact his name is Bowden? Because he got to be OC at FSU because his name is Bowden? But East Carolina hired Skip Holtz so anything is possible.

Mason isn't great but respectable, if Minn is being cheap(and if they aren't willing to put $ into the the program and coaches they probably are) his replacement will probably be a step down.
