I saw that, but I dont know how much weight their rumors carry. Last year they said that Tennessee's OC Henshaw was coming, and they said Jeff was a candidate for the Liberty job this year and he wasnt even a finalist. I would love to see him go and I think it would be a great hire for Rice.

After a rather unnerving year on the Bayou, rumor has it LSU coach Les Miles has quietly been asked about returning to Colorado. He has purportedly sent back word that he is indeed interested...
why in gods green earth would he want to leave LSU for colorado? that makes no sence at all. hell its only been a year.. jesus les. you cant stay in one spot for longer than 6 months.. this dude is a creep if this is true.. especially is half of what Ive read is true concerning Okie State.. OUSTUD your thoughts?

Word in Phoenix is that the Arizona Cardinals, who move into a new stadium next year, might try to buy out former Vikings coach Denny Green's contract in order to pursue Southern California coach Pete Carroll for a huge deal after the season.
I dont see this happening either..lol

If Pete ever leaves USC it will be a mistake. Why take the chance when you can dominate CFB for another 10-12 years.

In one word, ego. Depends on Pete's motives. And from all indications, he likes being at SC.

Who wouldnt? Great weather, tons of in-state talent, job security. I heard his wife loves CA and doesnt want to leave. The Niners have their coach and I cant see pete coaching the Raiders.

Cicero,
He said "FSU fans" not "Dook fans." You're in the wrong thread.

Anyway
![Rolling Eyes :meds:](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
............rumor on Mike and Mike this morning said that Carroll would possibly be interested in the Texans job if they gave him full control. With the possibility that the Texans get the #1 pick and Bush, does anyone think Carroll would be interested? I say no, b/c that organization is flawed and that is a major, major project for a guy who could be competing for MNC's year after year.

Bingo.....there are only 32 of those jobs in the world. It is the pinnacle of success for a football coach. Money, prestige....EGO!

It was nice to see that Turner Gill has been mentioned for the Rice job, he is supposed to be up for Buffalo as well. He used to be a hot name. I bet he wishes he'd have went looking back then.
Why would you hire Jeffy other than for the fact his name is Bowden? Because he got to be OC at FSU because his name is Bowden? But East Carolina hired Skip Holtz so anything is possible.
Mason isn't great but respectable, if Minn is being cheap(and if they aren't willing to put $ into the the program and coaches they probably are) his replacement will probably be a step down.

The funny thing about this is....
Cicero brought this shit up last year and thought it was fact but this year he is doubting.
Every year the same thing and I still dont believe it. I wont believe it until it happens.

Good play T. I learned a hard lesson this year that your strategy of not believing before seeing helps one avoid alot of pain.

Nah. You still feel it. You just get the satisfaction of laughing at the optimists.
