Larussa calls out Cards Onwership

"If I'm a fan, I'm thinking new ballpark and new revenue," La Russa said. "We haven't increased (payroll) dramatically, but we've increased it. So I've been told. But if I'm a fan, I'm thinking more about $10-$13 million.

"I'm not on the business side. I would guess one explanation is that this ballpark has been built with our ownership incurring a lot of the debt. Some of it's paying off the ballpark. It's not like we got a sweetheart deal from the city, the county or the state."
I'm not a Larussa or Whitey guy, but it's nice to see Tony make the call, the cash in flowing in like a sieve(fire leeeeeeery). And Dewitt is being cheap.

All anyone needed to hear. He has a good enough team to go to the World Series. He needs to worry about coaching. Hell, he had the MVP and the Cy Young winner on his team. Coach and STFU.
