a few Penn State things

-Joe's gearing up for the bowl season:
"You can take the BCS and shove it, as far as I am concerned. I've said that 50 times over the last 10 years. They say 'Bowl Championship Series.' Who are they kidding? It's not a championship series. It's a bowl championship. Forget the series."
-Recruiting season is heating up. Derrick Williams, and the success he enjoyed at PSU this year, has been a godsend in Maryland. PSU picked up two big LB commits from that state, Navorro Bowman and Bani Gbadyu (an LSU
decommit).
-It's incredible how quickly many PSU fans have become...well, whiny bitches. The homer boards are totally uninhabitable for me right now. All that is served up there is an exhaustive dissection of every coach, player, or media person that doesn't throb with praise for the Lions with every syllable. PSU went 3-9 and 4-7 the prior two years...how quickly that is forgotten by the newly-usernamed.
-IMO, this matchup with FSU will be a tough game to win. It's a
MUST-MUST-WIN, though.

Funny how things can quickly change, isn't it? I remember tOSU fans calling for Troy Smith's head after the PSU loss. And whining about how Tressel had better fire his OC or else he'll be next. Now I'm hearing how
unstoppable our offense will be for the bowl game. Not to mention that Smith is now a favorite for the Heisman next year.
I tend to stay away from the homer boards as well.

That doesn't sound like any of the SC boards I've been to lately.

I give JoePa credit for not listening to his critics. I honestly didnt see PSU going 10-1 this year and winning the Big Ten. I guess he knew more than the so-called experts.

Fucking rack this. Homer boards are for sucks. Ozone is filled with why ND will get blown out, NDNation is filled with posts calling out OZone (basically saying "no we're not!). Ugh. I hate this crap.

PSU,
I find that I really have to limit my ventures over to a couple of the PSU boards. But alas, I still find myself posting and becoming frustrated. I find the thread about MRob as a QB in the NFL quite funny. I think you'll find I've posted a couple in there. Idiots.
Here's another PSU tidibt for the rest here (from ESPN the Mag):

m2 wrote:Basically, It comes down this...
The BCS Series is not a series... but a Championship Game.
Thus, the rest of the games are meaningless.
In a realistic world...
Oregon would be playing the best of the 2 loss teams... in a secondary bowl for #3 in the country.

Rack JoePa the truth!

In an extremely-not-so-realistic world,
7-4 Cal would be playing in the Rose Bowl.

I visited Warchant's football board and the topic was: Does PSU have the speed to compete with FSU at every position?
Fucking idiots. Did Virgina, CLemson, or NC State?
