What the hell is going on here...you cats are actually spending money? Are you trying to put my Tigers back in the cellar or something? RACK your team for dusting off the wallet and adding some pieces to their team. You guys deserve better than what you've gotten the last two years. This team was a far cry from the Tony Pena MOY season...I had you guys pegged as Central Division champs the next year but laid a turd and Pena was soon out the door. Power to the small markets!

Redman, Elarton, Bako, Mientkiewicz, Grudzielanek, and most recently, Reggie Sanders...not a bad little offseason for KC. You need to upgrade when you've got the Sox and Tribe in the same division.

i'm a royals fan (until they play the cardinals) and am glad to see them add some names to the roster. david glass said he was going to push the team salary up to the $50mil neighborhood. if allard baird has made the right moves, this will keep them competitive late in the season. still no shot at a wildcard considering the competition for that spot but it's nice to see an effort in the off-season. the infield is looking pretty sharp. i really like the grudzielanek and mientkiewicz pick ups. baird was on the radio this morning saying the reggie sanders deal isn't done yet. typical gm-speak. they'll probably wrap that up today. after this, he said he thinks they're pretty much done with what they wanted to accomplish as far as free agents go but will keep talking with other teams to see if they can get a deal for a corner outfielder or two.

Wow a whole $50,000,000 this means he is only going to pocket 6 Million of Major Leagues Baseball's revenue sharing this year .

I'll believe he is dedicated to making the Royals a Team when I see that mid way through the year we don't sale every piece worth a shit for cash and single A "prospects". :(

Don't know why Baird couldn't get a deal done with Texas for Mench. Reggie sanders is an IR waiting to happen.
