2 Super Bowls won in 30 yrs of coaching is damn good.
5 NFC Championships is OUTSTANDING.
21 post season wins is OUTSTANDING.
250 wins is OUTSTANDING.
21 winning seasons out of 29 coached is OUTSTANDING.

I think you're crazy.
The guy was a STUD coach.

Landry helped build the Cowboys from the ground up. His first couple years they were god awful. He was the model of class and was innovative. I wish the Raiders had a coach like him right now.

No doubt.

For all the hype about Norvelous being some sort of offensive guru, what we've see from the offense on the field is entirely vanilla, predictable, bland, and full of SUCK.

Chuck Noll...17 years and 4 Super Bowl wins is...Great

Bill Walsh... 10 years and 3 Super Bowl wins is...Great

Landry... isn't Great he's Overrated.

Plain and Simple...

Says the chime-peddler pimping Alex Smith as a future star.

Tom Landry is one of the few coaches to coach in and contend for titles in 3 different decades. To say he's overrated is simply retarded.

Don Coryell deserves a mention.
For all the hype of the "Air Coryell" offense, his career record shows 0 Super Bowl wins.
His teams, especially in San Diego, were sorely lacking in talent on defense.
At least ol' Don gets credit for letting one of his assistants leave for a head coaching job.
You might've heard of a guy named Joe Gibbs. 8)

You're chiming in idiotically.

Is Landry overrated? Well, if one said he was the greatest coach ever, you would have a case. However, no one is really saying that.

Landry was innovative on both sides of the ball. He coached in 5 SB's, won two. Two of his losses were to the great Steel Curtain teams. The other a last second loss to the Colts. Landry had a few victories over his long career too, no?

Yes, I'm a Cowboy fan. But this Cowboy fan can acknowledge the greatness of not only Tom Landry, but Joe Gibbs as well.

Continue on with your weak case against Landry. It serves to illuminate your football knowledge quite well.

Oh yeah, good luck in next week's Bush Bowl. :D

Quite possibly the dumbest statement ever made in here. Landry the most overrated coach?

Good lord, M2. Put down whatever it is you're smoking. It's killing whatever brain cell you have left.

Landry was one of the great innovators of the game. His contributions to pro football are still felt today. He has 20 consecutive winning seasons, but because he only one two super bowls he's overrated?

Moron.

HH,

Its ok. He's redeemed himself with the "girls of the Israeli army thread". Not a bad read.

Even though I like him as a coach, I wonder if Bill Cowher will be lumped into this group if he never wins a SB. Has the guy ever won a big game? He's like 1-4 in AFC Champ games w/ 3 of those losses at home.

Fortunately, I did not.

Fucking inconsistent, douchebags. Luckily, I was at home, not paying any attention to Washington and New York match up. Christ, they will be calling it The MFL soon as each week I will surely see one of the Mannings on the nationally televised game. Right now, Eli still has to compete with Brett so.

So, I am getting ready for TB to kick the shit out of NO, WAS to whip PHI and now DAL to mop up STL so that CAR can choke on Vick's balls again and lose that head to head tie breaker as of Saturday's implosion.

Fuck nuts. I am preparing for the worse but even if they make the post season, I don't have a lot of faith in CAR lines right now.

Right now Cowher is in the same position Tom Landry was at roughly this time in his career. A few tough losses in big games and a lot of regular season wins. Given that the Rooneys are willing to let Cowher remain as coach for life, I'm guessing he'll fill in those holes in his resume. But, if he doesn't, history will judge him even more harshly given the very supportive ownership situation he has benefited from.

Great point. Cowher is living proof how hard it is to win a Super Bowl. He's had a great couple of looks at it, but who's responsibility is it to get a team over the hump? Coach or player?

One thing's for certain, he had much more success with his wrestling career.

Landry would never lose a Championship game to the fucking Chargers.

Cowher you could definatly put in the overrated category.

Cowher isn't anywhere near the innovator Landry was. Nice job stringing us all along, making us think you weren't just as big a maroon as m2, though. Almost worked

RACK.

I laughed too while reading Bsmack's horseshit.

Let me guess, the Steelers are your lock of the week as well?

Go fuck yourself, Slunt.
