Why I hate Las Vegas

Not just the usual I lost money rant. Not the usual how come whenever you steep your bet in blackjack it's a sure loser. No.
WHAT REALLY PISSED ME OFF WAS................
I wanted to recoup and make a profit plus, so I was going to drop 3 grand on SC in the Rose Bowl (a sure thing). So I go to the cashier's window and am prepared to withdraw that amount (which would leave my checking acct with about 48,000+) and was told I couldn't do it. My ATM daily limit is 400, and the B of A's are closed until tomorrow (Tues).
So I had to leave Sin///errr, Corporate City, w/o that sure thing....
Gold Coast USC -6.5...........
That is a LOCK.

I think it should be illegal for gambling houses to accept credit cards.

I think wearing cow boy hats and those goofy ass rainbow colored button up shirts in public should be illegal, come on what kind of grown up walks around in a cow boy costume?

nope...went this October during MSU weekend...rolled out of the rack at 8ish...walked over to the Venetian Sports Book and took in tons of CF action then got to see most of the SC/ND game as well before 3pm...that is the nice thing about PST...
anyone ever stay at either Venetian or Bellagio? My wife and I are thinking of staying there next time...so far I have stayed at
Trop (2 times) free rooms and meals from a friend of my dad's
Luxor
MGM Grand
Sahara (dump bought into the internet hype on their website but hey it was cheap and they had $2 craps)...
Paris
Mirage
Treasure Island
Caesars Palace
so I have stayed at a variety of places so just wondering if the price for Bellagio and Venetian is worth it?

Harrah's or off of the strip @ The Orleans.
The Orleans shuttles to the Barbary Coast every 1/2 hour.
GOOD Time!

Why are you so in love with the strip? We go twice a year and will never stay on the strip----
1. Too many rude ornamentals
2. The gaming sucks
3. Crowds
4. etc etc
Try:
Golden Nugget, downtown
Gold Coast (can take the free shuttle to the strip 1/4 mi away), plus a favorite of the locals
Rio, though they NEVER have enough blackjack games going....
Palms ain't bad
Green Valley is posh, but away from the action...
Boulder Station is the best of the "Station casinos"...on Boulder Hwy, again away from everything....

Seer - not really my call on staying on the strip...although we venture downtown a lot (Binions, Nugget)...
most people I have been out there with like the strip for convenience and the "nicer" accomodations...been to GVR (I know one of the hosts out there)...but not to stay just to play...
we mostly play craps or poker so to me where we stay is no biggie...although next time we go I do want to check out some diffferent poker rooms...played at Mirage, MGM, and Aladdin...do the local casinos have decent poker rooms? I know the Nugget does I think and I am sure GVR does now...?
anyway just a matter of preference...all in all I have never had a bad time on the strip...

Stay at the GVR and grab a cab to the strip.. You don't have to deal with the blue hairs.

What Seer said. Golden Nugget is great for old-school action. Rio is nice, too.
Mandalay Bay is the only worthwhile spot on the Strip, IMO. The MGM's sportbook/poker room is just a tram ride away.
Bellagio is only worth it if you're celebrity spotting/stalking. Ditto the Palms. Otherwise, you're just throwing money away that could be better spent on three-team parlays.
