Roethlisberger was banged up at the end of his rookie year in 2004, and things got worse this season. Ben injured his knee in week five and was hampered by the injury for six weeks – missing four of those games entirely. When he finally returned in week 12, he suffered a thumb injury that has affected his play ever since. For the season, Big Ben has appeared on the injury report a whopping 12 times in 15 games. That raises some serious issues about his ability to withstand the rigors of an NFL season in the long-term.
