yes, I know it's pretty much a meaningless game, but there's still a lot to play for. While we have already clinched a first round bye, still expect Shanny to play his starters.

It's pretty much an offsetting situation for him. Play his second stringers and lose and get criticized, or start his first stringers and a key player gets injured (i.e. Plummer, Smith, Wilson or Anderson) and still get criticized.

San Diego basically has nothing to play for but yet the Broncos still don't want to screw this up.

I still see an excellent football game on Saturday:

With absolutely nothing to play for, there's very little incentive for Schottenheimer to find a way to lose both his mind, and the game

On the other hand... last game of the season... nothing to play for... They want it over with so bad they'll leave the staduim without showering. 90% of the players will already have their U-Haul trailers packed up & ready to head wherever home is for the off-season the minute the game is over.

I like the Chargers in this game......
