Mizzou opened the KSU game on a 14-2 run, and the second half 19-0, and still managed to lose. at home.
it's been ugly at tigerboard.com. real ugly.

I'd be surprised if it's within 15-20 points. MU just has too much shit going on right now it's not even fun running smack.

What he said.
I'll try to muster somthing up tomorrow. I'm skeptical considering I didn't march around the house pissed after the 2nd K State loss. I guess I've accepted this season.

Noooo...say it ISN'T Soooo!!!
Well, actually...taht may be a good thing, being as how YOU never could run smack in the first place, pizza delivery boy.
Gawd, now I dismember why I hate ku so much. It's not the team, institution, or program I despise. It's their snooty assed, front running, bandwagon riding (sup Choads?) fans.
Tell ya' what. Mizzou is in disarray and
should lose by 50.
That said, look for the Tiggers to dig down deep and throw everything they have at the squawks, only to come up short by a bucket or two.
Meanwhile....

Bace- There is nothinbg worse than a sore loser that bitches about another teams sucess, and that is you personified.
Continue your march to a .500 record..........
Funny thing is I'm not a sore loser. I'm quite realistic with the Tiger team. I'll give Jayhawk fan a hard time because that's what Tiger fans do.
.500 record? I wish. Mizzou wasn't even in the top 100 teams.

And that is precisely why I actually enjoy the rivalry KU has with Mizzou. It is also why this KU fan is actually depressed with the goings on in Columbia. This game and rivalry is a lot more fun when both teams are good. What is happening at Mizzou in both football and hoops right now is depressing. I actually hope you pull out of it. It is sad to see Tiger fans looking glum and solemn, without any of their typical arrogance.
On another note, Quin has to go, he's driven that program straight into the ground.

No doubt. For programs that pride themselves on higher academic standards, you'd think the kids would be smart enough to run an offense (applicable to both sports). the other problem I have is with the football team suddenly turning into Nebraska when it comes to brushes with the law. Not only that, but KU grads have better calves from walking up and down the hills of campus.
I actually hope you pull out of it. It is sad to see Tiger fans looking glum and solemn, without any of their typical arrogance.
Not so much arrogance as it is superficial bravado. Gotta hold our heads high and pray for something big. I'm worried Barton County will bring Quin down and they'll hire Melvin Watkins in his place.
On another note, Quin has to go, he's driven that program straight into the ground.
All those alums who forced Norm to sit down* are probably keeping damn quiet now. Question is, who do we go after? AD chose Quin over this guy named Bill Self some time ago.
*is Allen Fieldhouse still chanting this? I loved it when they honored him at halftime with a chair in the middle of the court.

Quin over Bill Self isn't looking good for the Tigers about now...
I don't know who Mizzou would go after, it is still a very appealing job in my opinion and one that should be coveted by a number of coaches. What about the guy at BC, Skinner? He did a nice job at Rhode Island and is doing the same at BC. Mizzou might be a fit. I haven't watched enough hoops to know who might be out there.
Anyway, it'll probably be a closer game than most people think tonight. KU/MU always turns out that way.

I'd say it's more the desperation of a drowning man reaching for a life preserver, but I like your description as well, bace.

I'm not willing to axe Quin just yet. He's been thru hell the past couple of years. I'd like to think of this as a tempering process.
That said, I listened to an interview on sports talk radio with J. Whitlock and AD Mike Alden this afternoon. I've never heard Alden so blunt and forthcoming. He normally dances around issues and never gives a straight answer. Today it was unmistakable that Quin, barring a major turnaround, will be gonzo after this season, and that's just sad.
I'd rather see that arrogant fuckwad Pinkel shown the door before Quin.
The
real downfall of this program started when we lost Joe Castiglione to OU, and hired this rat fink Alden to replace him.
All those alums who forced Norm to sit down* are probably keeping damn quiet now. Question is, who do we go after? AD chose Quin over this guy named Bill Self some time ago.
UMKC has a nice coach who might be willing to lower his standards a bit and take on the Mizzou yob....
sob.

That was classic. Norm was an icon.

No, the real downfall for Mizzou is letting Bill Laurie call the shots because he opens the checkbook. Everything else stems from that.
