I gave em shit all year for not being any good and they ran off 5 at the end to make the playoffs. Not only that, they made sure they wouldn't lose another stud D coordinator to another team (see Lewis, Marvin) by locking up the man most responsible for getting them to the playoffs for another 3 years, Gregg Williams. With their D going up against Phil's kid, they've got a shot at a playoff W even. So props to the Skins.

It's hard to make the case that the 'Skins are world beater style dominant but looking back over the season, it is apparent that the team is in that "getting good" phase of development. Even so, it is a quantum leap: there's no good reason to project this past season based upon the previous two. What best summarizes the '05 'Skins? They can play with anyone. In view of recent history, it is nice to be able to say that sort of thing, for starters in the new era.
