Man, it was hard rounding it down to 10, let alone ordering them. How do you really compare the polished brilliance of
White Pepper with the drug-addled fuzz of
Pure Guava? They're all tied for #1 when it really comes down to it.
But as far as live albums go, I like
Live at Stubbs because it's more representative of the vibe of an actual Ween show. Same with the
Live in Chicago DVD.
Paintin' the Town Brown is a cool overview of how their live sound evolved over the years, but it's not as cohesive as those two.
I really want to get a copy of the live album from their country tour. It was the first one they released on Chocodog and I missed it.

When ranking a band's albums, it's rather roundly accepted never to use their live output since most live albums have been over produced and over dubbed to the point of being rather false representatives of the band's output. Just sayin'.
p.s. I saw Ween live in about '00. Wasn't much to write home about. Wouldn't want it on a cd.
