Just to start the party:

Patriots 27

Jaguars 17

Patriots defensive front too much for an immobile Leftwich.

I don't know how this one will go at all, but I wish the Pats nothing but continued success in the AFC playoffs for the mere fact that they took out the trash in last year's Super Bowl.

Nice tackling, Faguars.

Hell, that reminded me of KC trying to tackle Tiki.

Very impressed at the way the Pats mistreated Jacksonville.
Sloppy start, but they handled a very good team.

I'm a little concerned about their next challenge, whover it is.
Who's next?

Props to Willie McGinest! Sweet! Props to the whole defense, & the Bruins beating the Lightning which is always nice.

They'll do fine against Denver.

How is it decided who they play next???

I thought all along it was Indy!!!

That link did not help me..

******
8:00 p.m. on CBS -- Cincinnati (11-5) or New England (11-6)
at Denver (13-3)

Sunday, January 15
1:00 p.m. on CBS -- New England (11-6) or Pittsburgh (11-5)
at Indianapolis (14-2)

If Pittsburgh wins.. then it's NE vs. Denver..

If Cincy wins it's NE vs Indy??

Is that right????

Yes, Jack. That is correct.

Jack needs to learn about the principle of seeding.

Huh? You don't think the Pats beat up on a good team? Ya gotta be doing something right just to make it in the playoffs.

The Jags finished 12-4. That, to me is very good.

Probable.

Very happy! This team is gelling on defense at exactly the right time. I was worried going to Denver but with the way they are playing right now I am not so worried. I do want Indy in the worst way though......

The Jags played a very weak schedule.

Put it this way.

The game that clinched a playoff berth for the Jags was against Houston.

The patsies get ass-raped against Dungver, if/when it comes to that.

You'd best pray for Cincy, but it won't matter in the end.

Am I the only one here who thinks Byron Leftwich is overrated ? His passes look like dying quails and what gives with his legs? Hes always getting them fucked up. His accuracy is questionable as well, let me put it to you like this. Would you want this guy leading yuor team down the field with 1:30 to go and you are at your own 5 yard line? Me neither.

Jax is probably the weakest team in the AFC to make the playoffs. They
have little to no offense. Their passing game is a joke. They have a good D but they made ALOT of mistakes in that 3rd quarter last night.. blown coverages and inability to tackle. (That Watson touchdown was a joke- I've see better tackling in my little brother's football games). Denver or Indy will not make those mistakes... Plus- Denver and Indy each have an offense.

Brady looked very mediocre in the first half- and if not for the mistakes by Jax- probably would have not looked much better.

Yes, my lawn is looking a little shabby these days...

But seriously, I thought the winner of Jags- Pats would face Indy and

The winner of Steelers-Bengals would face Denver.

Until Yesterday, when I read Chowd's post..

and to answer all the Patriot naysayers...

The PATRIOTS are a TEAM!!!

so, if you want to point out individual weaknesses, you are missing the BIG PICTURE..

It's the BEST TEAM that will win the SuperBowl not the best group of individual talent!!

Dude, I'm with you, and so is everyone else in this town. When we found out he was starting, we were pissed. They shoulda put Garrard in MUCH sooner in the game.

But, honestly, not all his fault. Our receivers were dropping balls they should've caught. Jimmy Smith has been disappointing me a lot lately. He's a veteran... he should be playing better than he is.

We're a good team with talented players, but we just don't have all the pieces in the right place! Hopefully next year Del Rio will have it all figured out.

Mush Mouth out. Garrard in. Quinn Gray in. Or even Matt Jones in! Anything is better...

Very sad about last night's game. Wanted at least another week of football. :(

I don't think he is OVERRATED because I don't think he is rated that high.

He is a good QB (with bad legs). The Patriots made him look worse than he is. Jacksonville is a good team in need of a little tweaking.

Leftwich had an 89.3 passer rating in 2005. Tom Brady had a 92.3 rating!!

Leftwich is not that BAD!!

And Manning had a 104.1- but everyone in here likes to argue that stats don't mean shite.

I would agree that Leftwich is not overrated b/c hes not really looked at in the top tiers of QB's. I don't even think he is in the top 10 QB's in the league...

Leftwich was also yanked for the last 8 minutes of the game when he should have been lowering his QB rating by throwing more INTs.

Just sayin.
