NDNation bought up most of the sites they could think of (ie firecharlieweis.com) and had them redirect to their page. They did this because they didn't like the firety.com site and thought it was shameful. Oh well. There is one of these for every coach.

If they had the internet back in the day, you'd probably have FireCoachWooden.com, BearBryantMustGo.com, LombardiSucks.com and WoodyHayesIsABum.com. Fans are very fickle with their coaches no matter what they do.

Michigan's arrogance pales to Notre Dame arrogance:

Who should replace Charlie Weis after his inevitable termination?

Peter Vaas
John Latina
Steve Mariucci
Jon Gruden
Les Miles
Cam Cameron
Urban Meyer

Wow...

The more I read that, the more I think that site is a joke. Especially their 3rd reason to fire Weis.

Blind, you'd be surprised what transpired with Gruden and ND after the 2001 season.

I think you are right about it being a joke site.

At least I hope you are right.

After perusing that site, put me in the "joke site" camp as well.

One thing caught my eye. I don't usually run grammar smack, but this seemed just a tad ironic, given the content of the sentence:
We want someone who keeps the scholar is scholar athlete, and someone who always puts a professional, academic face forward (because he represents our university).
Of course, that could be part of the joke as well.

Btw, of the potential "successors" mentioned, one (Meyer) would never get hired at ND at this point. Another (Spurrier) notoriously hates ND.

If it's not a joke, then the admins are idiots, plain and simple.

Proof that every fan base has idiots.

In the early 1980s, Barry Switzer famously trademarked the phrase "Bury Barry" and made a few bucks selling T-shirts and bumper stickers. That, my friends, is why Sooner Fans love the King.

inspire Bosworths line of T shirts that he sold in Denver while he was playing in Seattle?

"What is a Boz worth?"

3. Unbelievably Bad Offensive Calls

Believe it or not, Weis did not invent his "aggressive offense." The honors there go to my younger brother. He first experimented with going for fourth and 15+ in his own territory in football videogames five years ago. On the other hand, in video games it is fairly easy to pick up the first in such a situation. In real life it just leads to losses and head scratching (See: #1 above and Fiasco bowl below). The players work too hard for this, and they deserve better.
