First game of the weekend is just about to get underway...
The team that wins the run game wins...
that said, I'm taking Seattle and it won't be close.

Fuck on the fumble, but the offense looked pretty sharp, otherwise.

And that's why Alexander doesn't have a huge contract yet. He better come up big in the playoffs this year.

I wouldn't call his second fumble of the season a lot.

Not the fumble per se- but his performace in the postseason as a whole. In the past- he has sucked major monkey cack in postseason

No, but when he does it on his 1st carry without even being touched and causes his team to lose a scoring opportunity, it's called choking in the big game.

Blessing in disguise for Seattle. Now, they can put their best running back in and give him some carries, without the whiniest bitch in the league whining about his stats.
See how Holmgren plays it -- does he give up on the run, or stay true to the philosophy he claims to espouse -- as a GM, he traded up in the draft just to get Morris. He's always cliamed that a team must have two premiere running backs on the roster to win the championship. Let's see how much faith he has in the guy he placed a small bet-of-the-farm on (who incedentally is sporting a pretty gaudy YPC average on his careeer -- better than Alexander's, as a matter of fact).

Morris isn't what i'd call explosive, but he's getting the job done.

I'm obviously quite biased, but I've maintained since day 1(4 years ago) that Maurice is a better RB than Alexander(although Alexander had his shit together this season, without question). If Morris would have had 370 carries behind that excellent line, he would have won the MVP as well.
Just because Holgren can't play the guy without Panties-In-A-Bunch-Alexander having a meltdown, doesn't mean dude isn't an excellent player.

so far, the O is just horrid. i mean, horrid. who the hell is calling these plays??
the D- minus the big pass and the td drive- has been good.
if the O decides not to show up, this one will be over soon. the good news is that the skins D is capable of stepping it up a notch.

Huh?
No, I don't need to make anything up -- Alexander's accomplishments as a whiney bitch are pretty well documented.
Or, have we forgotten "I WAS STABBED IN THE BACK" so soon? That was one in a very, very long line of bitchass moments for that bitch.
And well, Maurice did kind of (help) lead my real team to the best season in their century-long history.

Regardless what side of the fence anyone was on in this one (sup GO), I don't recall anyone here predicting an offensive track meet, nor do I remember anyone saying the Over was a stone cold lock.

Well... Seattle mistakes have keep Washington in this one.
I'm looking for Seattle to pull away in the second half, and this one won't be close.
Thanks for coming... Washington
Looks like another trip to the Super Bowl for the "NFC West" after next week.

okay, I've made note of the fact that you think Alexander is a bitch and that Morris is Jim Brown reincarnate......

Although I agree that the party is about to come to a quick end for the Skins, Seattle isn't getting out of next weekend alive.
And I am Ninersfan -- the Chickens will
always be in the AFC West to me, regardless how many times the Niners play them a year (although the realignment allows me to go see my Niners once a year without too much hassle...didn't make it this year due to illness, though).

I was thinking a combination of Jim Brown, Tony Dorsett, and...well, I guess I shouldn't bring up the name Riggins right now.

And anymore, it's no longer what I
think -- it's pretty well documented. His bitchitude is about as open to debate as that of Terrell Owens.

Dins,
The "NFC West" will rub off on the Seahawks, and they'll lose that stench they had from the "AFC West".
I don't see Carolina or Chi-town taking a game in the Northwest from them.

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Maurice Morris, who has now accomplished more in the postseason as a Seahawk than Shaun Alexander has in his entire career.
Quack Quack.

alexander out of the game, and the D looks like swiss cheese. call me surprised.

WTF do
want?!?!?
You've already got almost double the passing yardage you had last week.

What a tool.
The only reason the Hags are even in the SB hunt with homefield thru-out is because they play in absolutely the most pathetic division in the NFL. It's pretty easy to pad your record when you have 6 gimme' games a year.
If the Hags make the Superbowl, they'll get fucking rolled by whichever AFC team makes it thru
that gauntlet.
The Superbowl will be anti-climactic, to say the least.

'Skins didn't get points off of turnovers like they did last week.
Game over.
Washington will be a combined 0-5 this year against AFC West teams. :P

And they had better be thankful for that.
They sucked so hard for so many years they got booted out of the AFC West.... and almost
immediately pwned the NFC West.

How did it feel to lose to a "weak-scheduled" team, Deadskin Fan?
Now the C-list celebrity stalking midget can go back to his pathetic life cruising dive bars on the east coast.

I did :winkywinky:
I think there's some evidence of that somewhere :doublewinkywinky:
And Seattle's linebackers played better than the Skins linebackers.
And the weather was tougher on Washington's passing game than it was on Seattle's.
And Tatupu had a better weekend than Merriman.
And Seattle's defense did just about the same thing to the Skins' offense as Tampa's.
:SHOCKER:
Who woulda thunk it?
What a great working model of the adage "a cornerback is a reciever with bad hands." If the Hen DBs had hung on to any of those gifts Huskell threw them, that would have gotten pretty ugly on the scoreboard.

props to you for being correct about some things. but bringing up merriman was in poor taste. you know why.
