Awesome game...one of the best low-scoring double-OT games I've ever seen. Matt Sylvester is a monster but props to the Spartans pulling out the win in a tough gym.
War Gus Johnson
Babs gushfest over today's win in 5...4...3...

I got home and turned on the game late in the second...disappointing loss. Hell of a game tho...what college b ball is all about.
Some serious D played in C-bus... gotta give MSU their props.

Great game. Props to MSU. Brown's swat out of Sylvester's hands turned the tide in the first OT. One of the only leads the Buckeyes had all game and they had the chance to make it two possessions.
Oh well. I'm not too upset about this one. I'm almost afraid Matta's taking off too fast. I don't wanna see this guy bolt for the NBA anytime soon.
Plus, had tOSU won, we would've been cheaters.

omg, did I just read that right? -- Matta ...... errrrrrr... . . . NBA?!
Also; don't let the fact that MSU didn't shoot a team foul shot until the 2nd fricking overtime, sway you! 6 Buck team fouls in the 25 min. after the 2nd half started!? My God! - Meanwhile MSU was called for their 7th team foul with like 8:00 to go 2nd half!
And Parker's got nothin on Kobe. Dude jacks up shots with the best of 'em. Shot them right outta the game! Then, FOULS outta the game!
When your Fab 5 gets there next year, you guys should be tough. Ager biting the big one was the only reason you were in it.

The loss would have been easier to take had we not also lost to IU last week. However, it was a great game. I had to leave at the end of regulation and heard the score before I could watch the DVR--it's just no fun to watch an impending loss. But I did and MSU played great at our house.
I think the Big10 has about 6 teams that are pretty solid this year.

The little bitch seems to do that against most of the tough teams on the schedule. See IL and WI.

The reason Ager had an off game was because Je'Kel foster was d-ing his ass up. We could say the same thing about Sullinger or Foster having their worst offensive games of the season..... or 5th-year senior Matt Sylvester pissing down his leg like a freshman.
Obviously, this game could've gone either way. OSU shot worse than they've shot all year..... gotta give MSU's athletes some major credit for that. But overall, at least on offense, we just looked like a team that's not used to playing big games on national t.v.
The crazy thing about this game is that both offenses are generally pretty damn good. MSU's gotta average over 80 a game.... and OSU's probably somewhere in the high-70s. With that kind of defense being played on both sides of the ball.... it's safe to say that nobody's gonna want to play either one of these teams in March.

I agree BraveFan.
Ager has some kind of issue we may not know about.
Hopefully Izzo straightens this guy around next week. He's a first rounder if he finishes nicely this march.
Parker was scoreless the entire 2nd half and more. That's Shannon Brown - Neitzel and Ager on D.
Davis played Dials straight up to a tie. Not too bad on the road, where refs can call the ticky tacks on Centers a lot.
I think America might see 5 Big10 teams in the Sweet-16. Maybe 6, if they spread them out.
Wisc. Ill. MSU IU and Iowa all have shots at the Great 8.
Heck, the Weasels may even keep improving, and make the S16 round! I'd LOVE to see that. A welcome change around here.

Don't worry about it. Matta is a cbb guy through and through, and to boot he's a MidWest guy so he's the coach of tO$U for the next several decades, and he's going to build a powerhouse.

It moved.
