Although Roberts was a good little lapdog, the SCOTUS upheld Oregon's Assisted Suicide law.
A great victory for conservatives, though they had to fight off the Bushies. It's also a great victiry for state's rights.
Because it's not like democracy is about the will of the People and their right to govern themselves through democratic process, or anything like that.
Just because the BA doesn't believe in the American Way, doesn't mean the SCOTUS has to buy into it.
Maybe the Gonzales/Ashcroft tag-team should have listened to the Ninth Court when they told them something to the effect of "don't you have anything better to do than try to micromanage every law in Oregon?"
Props to the SC for not buying into Bush's War On Little Beirut.
