Yeah, Steve, let's just hope Montana doesn't bring their personal refs to Iowa City like Michigan does.

Great call. At least you're not bitter or crying like a little bitch.

Are there any Hawkeye fans in here?

We are chartering a plane to the game and would like to get a feel for gameday atmosphere - where to go, what to do, is there anything that can't be missed, where are the good bars, etc

Also would like to hear what the outlook is for 2006 Hawkeye? You just renovated the stadium, no? Did you paint those lockerrooms yet?

Griz,

As the season nears, I'll give you some Iowa City info. You'll have a great time. Just make sure you book a place to stay early. There are not a ton of places in Iowa City considering there are 70,000 seats. If you don't book early, you'll end up staying in Cedar Rapids (half hour away). And I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to have to stay a night in Cedar Rapids!!

Charter flight and hotel rooms done. For our size, location and situation, Montana travels well - we took over 5,000 to Eugene, OR last year. Looking forward to the trip. Although this game is an anti-climax for Hawkeye, for Griz it is a big deal. Although we don't have the depth of talent that Iowa does, we have a winner's mentality and several I-A caliber players on offense. You will get four quarters from us. And the $650,000 we got from you will help our athletic department get back in the black as well as provide some facilities upgrades.

We've got Josh Swogger at QB who transfered from Wash St, Craig Chambers at WR who transfered from Washington and Reggie Bradshaw at RB who transfered from Louisville. In addition, our starting RB Lex Hilliard will be a Payton candidate next season. Rumor has it that we are getting a CB from Arizona. We have a key loss on DL and OL play was suspect at times last year, although the QB play might have been weak irregardless. We finished 8-4, one and done in the playoffs, which is a disappointing year for us.

Looking forward to the season already.

My college roomates cousin. He is actually pretty good. Just got hurt and lost his spot at WSU.

It's gettin' on 'bout that time. We have a Alumni Assn tailgate setup for Saturday - I'd be interested to know what there is in Iowa City that I can't miss Friday night. And, yes, I like to binge drink.

One thing I have to say - the Iowa fans that have registered and that post over on our Montana board have been top shelf. They could've easily come over and just starting shitting all over the place but that hasn't happened at all.

Griz...hopefully you can wade your way through the 65,000 NFL scouts at the game if you are brining 5,000

I certainly hope not. We, in our 2-time I-AA champion's myopia, entertain notions of not losing by 100 points. Montana gave a very respectable effort in not getting 'obliterated' by Oregon last year. And although I think Iowa is every bit as good if not better than UO, I think we have a better team than last year.

I heard there is a bar in Iowa City called Deadwood. If this is true, then I am there you hooplehead cocksuckers.

Don't worry, Griz, you'll get a fair shake in Iowa City. That wouldn't be the case if you were playing a bunch of cheaters like Ohio State, Michigan, or Nebraska.

The Deadwood is not a bad bar for just chilling out. It is a much better crowd than the barely legal, vomit on your shoe chuckleheads that frequent places like Brothers and the Union.
