Anyone else appreciate the genius that is The Pogues?

Or do you need to be a drunken Irishman?

I don't know anyone that likes them that doesn't come from Irish/Anglo heritage.

Waiting for Herb or Peace and Love. Both used to tide me over when I was in love with the hydro waaaaay back in the day.

I was a huge Pogues fan. I never saw them live, though. I did attend two Shane MacGowan & the Popes shows; one he showed up for and did an amazing job, and another that he failed to show up for (my wife made it along with me, despite being as pregnant as she'll ever be - our daughter was born the next night).
