Quote from Kome's recent interview:
"I'd much rather go out and score 25 points and get 10 assists and see everybody in a rhythm, everybody in a groove."
Blasphemy I tell you

I'd love to hear the kind of dumbfuck excuses you pussies will be screaming from your cock ports when dude retires with 7-8 rings and every scoring record in NBA history.

How does Kobe manage to jack up 25+ shots per night with Raydah and Roofie hanging off his sack. Gotta give dude props for this , I guess.

Settle down there, Ricky Martin.
Kobe is going to win 4 or 5 more rings? With what team??? Is he going to join the Pistons or Spurs? Sure as hell won't be with LA.
What scoring records will Kobe have? He's 23,000 points behind Kareem. Kobe is averaging 23 ppg for his career, so you're going to tell me that he's going to play 1000 more games? That's about 13 more seasons. Reality check, aisle 4 - Kobe isn't going to be playing for 23 seasons until he's 41.
He's also about 7 ppg behind Jordan. He'd probably have to average 40 ppg for 10 years to catch up.
Your take sucks.

Stevie,
One of these days you'll get it. One of these days you'll finally understand that Kobe is scoring and shooting as much as he is now because he has to. Period. If you think he's gonna defer to his teammates on the way to a 15 win season, then you're either high or just plain stupid.
Get some players around Kobe who can score on a consistent basis and then crack on him for lobbin up 25-30 shots a game. Until then, do us all a favor and just shut the fuck up, k?
TIA.

Shut the fuck up, tard-and stick to the shit you know: Namely, paying 54,000 for a Lincoln Navigator (BUWAHAHAHAHAA! Either you're a fucking liar or a complete idiot-Im betting its both) to take over those oh-so-pesky grass clippings. You're an abortion of a takeless gimp on your best days, and resemble a schiavo labotomized scooter bound blowtubing tard on your normal days.
Log the fuck off, and keep your balloon knot bangers inside your powder, see through horrorshow you call a wife. Bitch

Couple things to point out.
1. We're talking about Kobe in the context of his actions on the court, not off. Whether he fucked some white bitch in Colorado or not, has no bearing on what's happening on the court. You can go ahead and feel free to leave that aspect of Kobe out of your take.
2. I already posted up clear cut numbers that show that the last year the Lakers won the title, Kobe averaged about 5 shots per game more than the following year when they got trounced by the Pistons in 5. So this tells us that when Kobe was shooting more, the Lakers were a championship team. When he decided to defer to his "teammate" (if you can call that fat fuck a teammate), the Lakers got destroyed.
So again I ask....Kobe looking to shoot is bad how?
Right.

So as I stated in another thread, Kobe's numbers are artificially inflated because he's on a team of scrubs. Guys who score in droves on shitty teams is nothing to get all moist in the loins about.

Unless said individual single handedly carries the team to 20-30 more wins over the season by scoring in said droves.
Spin it anyway you want, haters, the Lakers are a better team with Kobe than without.

So then how is Kobe on the Lakers a bad thing? No, nobody said the Lakers were better without Kobe, but the way you and the rest of the haters act, you imply they'd be better off without him.
Or are you trying to say Kobe should pass to Lamar Odom more? Have you seen Odom play recently?

Yeeeahhhh, buddy.
Fu -- your statements remind me of an adage -- "There's 3 kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and Satistics."
Did you factor in Kobe's time as a teen coming off the bench in your extrapolations?
That was a rhetorical question, btw, since I obviously already know the answer.

He averaged 15.5 mpg as a rook and 26 mpg his second year. By year three, he was up to 38 mpg, which is par for the rest of his career. If you remove the first two seasons from the equation, he's at 26.6 ppg. Still not Jordan-esque. Even at this clip, it'll take 10 to 11 more seasons to reach Kareem. Is he going to play for 20 or 21 years at that pace? Doubtful. Most guys see their numbers drop once they reach their peak in their young 30's.
Don't get me wrong, Kobe is a certain HOFer and a b'ball wizard. I was just pointing out the faults in Hair Gel's post. 8 rings and all-time leading scorer (either in total points or PPG) is highly unlikely. Dare I say impossible.

Who wants to take bets that my fortune telling is a lot closer to what will happen than your's, Aquanet.
Of the top 100 scorer's in NBA history, there are only three players that played for 20 years or more: Kareem, Robert Parish and Kevin Willis. See a trend in that? A few more centers played 18-19 years: Moses Malone, Hakeem & James Edwards. The only non-centers to play 18 years or more: Karl Malone, John Stockton, Reggie Miller & Terry Cummings. Kobe is far more active than either of those four. Wear and tear and all.
Kobe's going to buck all the trends, huh? Is that what you're saying, Versace?

You're getting a little warmer, Fu, but your statistical analysis is still flawed.
Why don't we start calculating that average after the high school newby had a few years of experience, and actually "found his groove?"
If you look at it starting with the 200-2001 season, dude's averaged roughly 27.5 ppg, give or take. At the beggining of that season, he had just turned 22. If he can stay healthy and hang on and score at a decent clip until he's 38(and there's that word that makes this discussion kind of silly anyway..."if"), which seems more and more likely in this modern era, then he has about 16 more years at 27.5ppg.
Let's go with 27.5(although playing without Shaq seems to be gradually boosting his average) x 80 games(he'll whine his way out of at least a couple with a hangnail or something) x 16 years = 35,200. Before this age of "getting in his groove," he had ~ 4200 points.
35,200 + 4200 = 39,400 = More than Kareem
More math -- 23,000 behind Kareem...23,000/28 = ~821. ~10 seasons. If his average jumps to 31ppg, which doesn't seem that unlikely at this point, that munber drops to around 740 games, all of a sudden it becone 9 seasons and change. Bear in mind that he's averaging 36ppg this season.
Do I think he'll do it? Beats the hell out of me...I kinda doubt it, but it's not all that far-fetched a notion, is all'z I'm sayin....statistically speaking.
And as I mentioned, all this specualtion is a stretch. Dude could blow a knee tomorrow, dude could keep jacking the rock and average 40 for a few seasons.

The place will probably be a sellout tonight, if not close to it. When the Blazers ever do make it back, that building is going to be a scary place to have to play.
Spurs on are their annual "Rodeo February," basically a month-long road trip, in part becasue of scheduling by the NBA but mostly because the annual stock show and rodeo in SA goes on this month, at the Joe Freeman Coliseum, which is adjacent to the SBC Center. Unless they have it in the SBC Center these days.
~ shudder ~ I don't really know much about that abortion, other than that it usually brings in a bunch of bad-shirt wearing 'necks and RVs into the downtown area, and it causes a month-long hiatus of Spurs games.
I may catch some of the broadcast tonight on Sirius. If I hear any background squeals, I'll toast to one of my imaginary Internet buds. If you trip Tony Parker out of the tunnel, I will fight you.

Thanks for the laugh.
But there was actually people in the upper bowl, so that counts as a success for the organization.
Good game. The end result might have been different had Jaun Dixon been able to hit a shot. The Dick had a rough night from the field, and any more, his high-octane style of play sets the tone for the team.
First time I've seen Theo Ratliff and Duncan square off up close and live. Duncan is obviously the better player, but damn Theo makes it a long night for him, or any other low post player. On TV you don't see the physical abuse he puts on fools, and Duncan was no exception -- dude's nice night of ball came with a price -- I could hear the blows Theo was putting on him from the cheap seats.
Good game.
