Both SB QB's

...are from Boston College and Miami(OH). Guess you dont have to go to the Top Programs to have success. W/ recruiting season just over it kinda makes me think that the whole thing is overrated. You dont think Hasselbeck or Big Ben were over looked? Most of us on here cheer for Big Time programs that looked at other QBs and most of them prolly never made the NFL.

Some of us only started throwing the ball in the last decade. ;) :D

QB is one position that recruiting is nothing more than a best guess. Same goes for the NFL draft, you just never know. The only other position that compares is kickers.

No....but there is a reason that UF, FSU and Miami are three of the top NFL producers. Nothing is guaranteed but generally speaking they get it right.

What QBs has florida put in the NFL?

Miami has had its share but fsu and UF haven't done jack.

he was gravy training on Miami who put some QB's in the league in the 80's but have been pretty dry since.

I was trying to think of an offensive UF grad who actually did anything professionally since Emmitt. All I could come up with is Jesse Palmer in that lame show about which slut to marry.

Not many of Michigan's starting QBs are from the state. Henson is the only off the top of my head that I know is from Michigan.

Yet, while he was at Michigan, they were trying to find a way to get Henson in there and then Brady was a 6th Round pick. So, its not like the scouts were all over him either.

Actually, tOSU recruited Roethlisberger but it was too late in the game. Plus, it was noted by Ben's dad that John Cooper had trouble pronouncing the last name.

Yeah, that makes 3 of us (or 4 if you count Lax, but he also roots for other teams), and how many, again, of you? :meds: :P

I noticed the lack of Irish Representation compared to all the Big 12, Big 11, and Florida schools fans. Most threads and posts are pretty good which is why I decided to join after lurking around for a month or so. (T Rex seems a little defensive, but you'll have that everywhere)

In fairness, Fred Taylor. A few wideouts have been decent in spots, but never displayed the brilliance they showed in college.

Btw, are you a ND alum? I'm class of '86.

You should have been around when Meyer took the UF job and ND had to "settle" for Weis. Your assumption is dead on.

Welcome. I'm a sub, Terry is an alum, and Lax hates USC. That's about it as far as Irish supports go.

Most surveys will tell you that more college football fans identify ND as their favorite team than any other school (don't tell OU fan that, though). By that standard, we're definitely way underrepresented on this board.

There's four Nole Fans here. It seems like OU has the most.

Somewhere, there's a "since when did they give Taco Bell employess internet access" joke in BtH's post, but I'm much too lazy to find it.

I just think that Soonerfan represents their team better than any other D1 fans, period.

Damn, that hurt to type.

Working on tickets to the OU game. Looking forward to having the Sooners and their fans come to Eugene.

I would say OU, followed by OSU, USC (for now), Texas, Nebraska, FSU and then a smattering of other teams.

Teams represented:
OU
OSU
USC
UT
Rice
UCLA
Oregon
Cal
WSU (Someone is a Coog, I can't remember who)
UW (New Addition)
A&M
Nebraska
Iowa
Iowa State
Indiana
Michigan
Michigan State
ND
FSU
UF
Syracuse
PSU

That's all I got off the top of my head.

I'll be there... meeting up with an Oregon Buddy of mine before the game. Told him I was bringing Duck for the tailgate. :D

Why would we care how many mouthbreathers who can't figure out how to turn on a computer identify themselves as Notre Dame fans?

Hell, I'm sure there's more USC fans and Texas fans than there are OU fans right now.
Seems like everyone ever born in the state of Texas is now a Horn fan. I've seen so much Texas gear around Minneapolis its crazy. Most everyone I talked to are guys that were either from Texas or lived there at one time.

In terms of numbers, Michigan's gotta be Top 5 at least. Quite possibly, at least by my count, they're Top 3 (behind only OU and tOSU).
Teams represented:
OU
OSU
USC
UT
Rice
UCLA
Oregon
Cal
WSU (Someone is a Coog, I can't remember who)
UW (New Addition)
A&M
Nebraska
Iowa
Iowa State
Indiana
Michigan
Michigan State
ND
FSU
UF
Syracuse
PSU

That's all I got off the top of my head.
Add to that list:

USF (Mucho)
Kansas (Degenerate)
Missouri (Adelpiero and a few peripheral posters)
There was a Miami fan on the board, but I'm not sure if he's around any longer. I suppose you might be able to count the Hurrigangstah troll . . .
There's also a few other people who come in from time to time and who support other teams, e.g., Fraudo (Wisconsin) and Diogenes (Arizona State).

Who's the Iowa State fan, btw? Seems to me that nobody in here really cares much about Iowa State except JON, and he's not a fan.

Thanks for the additions Terry. I also forgot Colorado.

The ISU fan is Cyclone, he's around here somewhere.

Do you deny it? Because everytime I've posted something with facts, you are no where to be found.

What are you going to "throw right back"?

Fucking kids? Back to your "how old are you" card? Great call. Does it make it easier for you to deal with if you think everyone who punks you is younger than you? Just curious.
