Tom Davis jealous of Colorado schedule?

Colorado is the worst team in the history of basketball to have ever been ranked at any point during a season. Not only that, but they might be the worst team ever. Can't pass, can't rebound, can't dribble, can't play defense. I've seen them 2-3 times this year and they are an absolute embarrassment to the game of basketball. They played a pussy schedule, one that former Iowa coach Tom Davis is probably jealous of. They have ZERO even remotely quality wins. If they receive just one Top 25 vote, college basketball polls will completely ruin their credibility (not that they had any credibility before). I was watching the Iowa State-CU game yesterday and found myself laughing at the way ISU was just toying with CU. Top 25 my ass. Top 75? Probably not.

Sincerely,
Someone who just watched an OU game...

What is an idiotic hyperbole Alex.

Yeah, I turned on the OU-KU game with about 8:00 to play and saw the Sooners were up 53-38 so I turned it off thinking there's no need to watch a blowout. I turn back with a minute to play and see they were down and I thought I needed to get my eyes checked. I gotta say though, OU got jobbed on a couple calls late (ie offensive foul should have been called on the winning basket drive). Also, after OU forced that jump ball with a few seconds late, Brandon Rush got pissed off and chucked the ball down the court. Very lucky not to get T'd up. I'm surprised no one's mentioned that anywhere.

I wish I had something to say in rebuttal... :(

I'd start with Northwestern.

Shit happens SunCoast. For whatever reason, we can't win in Evanston anymore. I have no explanations.

That's not the point!
IOWA CAN'T WIN ON THE ROAD PERIOD! Let the record stand...4-6
Yes I realize they have won some road games, but Kentucky kind of excluded, I wouldn't necessarily call them quality wins. SLU? Purdue? Penn State? Not exactly powerhouse teams.
And yes, I realize those early losses were "due to injuries", that's a cop out. You might as well put on a Holmgren mask and say it was the refs' fault.
Compare them with Illinois 2 losses on the road against Iowa and Indiana.
While at the same time beating UNC & UW-Mad.
I'm an Iowa fan. I believe they are a great team. Do they deserve to be leading the Big Ten? Maybe. They'll probably make their usual Big Ten Tourney run and get a decent seed in the Dance and live up to their seeding expectations. Are they going to move beyond their Tourney seeding? Not unless they plan on playing those tough games at Carver-Hawkeye.

Can't win on the road and haven't won on the road are 2 different things. Granted, we haven't played well this year, but we typically play well on neutral courts under Alford. That's what you have to do in the NCAA tournament. And I think we get over our road woes on Saturday.

You may be right Jon and the Hawks may get that road win this weekend, although I hope you aren't betting $$$'s on this happening!

Actually, I have a $20 bet with a co-worker of mine that is an IU grad. If IU wins, I lose $20 AND have to deck my desk out with IU gear for the next week. I'm not too worried about losing this bet, because I think Iowa will win.

I never bet on sports other than friendly bets with friends. I've had to listen to his IU propaganda for too long. Adding the friendly wager will only make it more enjoyable when/if Iowa beats IU!

I know this is going to sound completely retarded considering we are currently alone in first place and just beat a Top 30 RPI team on the road....but...
I am very disappointed with a lot of what I saw in that game. Early on, we were lazy on defense. And the last 8 minutes, our play was worse than pathetic. 10 missed free-throws and god only knows how many stupid turnovers late in that game. 16 point lead with 9 minutes to play and we have to hang on, not because of a great rally by IU, but because of shitty unforced errors by Iowa.
Very disappointed in how this team played the last quarter of the past 2 ballgames. We got a win over IU, but did not deserve to win that game.
