OT: I'm pretty much freaking out right now...

Little War Stoops (our first) is due in less than 24 hours. He's breech so they are going to try an external version at 6:00 AM Monday. If that works, we'll go straight to inducement. If not, we'll go straight to C-section.

For nine months I've gone through periodic phases of excitement, stress, joy, and utter terror. Right now, it's terror. Starting tomorrow, my needs are secondary and I so hope I don't screw things up.

So send some good karma my way and say a little prayer if that's your thing. Hopefully, I'll be back soon with good news.

While I'm at it, thanks for six-plus years of virtual friendship. You guys are fucking awesome...even you Trixie.

My sister was born breech; that was in the prehistoric times of 1952....

You have absolutely nothing to worry about...congratulations in advance...

If the kid is absolutely gorgeous, let me know, I'll send at least a dime a month child support...

Awesome. I remember it like it was yesterday. There is no feeling like it in the world. It was the most emotional thing I have ever been through. I cried more than he did.

What? Not giving up the name?

Congrats. Hope he doesn't get colic. My boy has had a double ear infection, nasal and throat congestion and 101+ temp for 5 days now. Up until 5 days ago, the most he cried in a day total was maybe 15 minutes and he's 5 months old. He's cried for 5 days straight...even while he sleeps. ZombieFrisco is me. (I know...I'm a downer)

P.S. I know there are some here with MUCH worse problems that what I've had for 5 days with my kid. Not trying to be dramatic here.

You will come to learn grass hopper that if you are doing it right as a parent, there is no larger drama than your child suffering.

Trust me, I know. Until 5 days ago, he never really fussed at all. Seeing him suffer like this and constantly crying knowing there is nothing I can do about it kills me. What hurts the most is when he is cying and looking right into your eyes with that "Why can't you make this stop?" look. I hate it.

Big time Congrats Stoops!!! I hope mom is healing up OK..

Now you can start the sports indoctrination process by popping in old game tapes. Just make sure that your babysitters are sooner fans. I made the mistake of letting my sister babysit my oldest( 8 ) . And now the seditious little ingrate wants to go to a candyass nonfootball college(Creighton). Needless to say I gotta plan a full metal jacket style blanket party for the boy's next birthday party :D ..
