I'm not voting... Satanic Bible is not listed. Or is that considered as "Other?"

Ha. You got me. Busted.

I was just funnin' you -- I'm betting they all endorse slavery.

The very idea that someone would make it a point to try and live by the King James version is so vile, it both sickens and saddens me.

It's bullshit, and it's evil -- let it go, people.

I like the version that only talks about gays once but it is bolded really, really big. This version also talks other things being abominations a whole lot of times, but that print is really, really tiny. Especially compared to the one gay reference which is ginormous.

Good book, though. I'm sure the title sends reactionary righties straight to church to eat wafers.

But for the uninformed -- it's a philosophy book, and not a particularly serious one at that. Dude did include some dieties and practices to get a rise out of the christian right, though. Funny dude.

Anton Lavey's version of "Satanism" takes one down a path of greater morality than does christianity.

It's been too many years. I'm going to have to get my hands on another copy.

Highly recommended reading. The underlying message is that it's human nature to be self-centered, and you don't need organized religion to justify doing evil nasty shit in your own self interest.

Christians both scare and sicken me....about the same as any other organized religion.

For those of you that were brainwashed by ERRRRRRR "believe in" an organized religion -- I truly am sorry. I'm sorry your life went so horribly wrong that you needed to fall in with an evil cult to feel accepted and worthy. I'm sorry your parents failed you so badly, and I'm sorry that their parents before them were so cruel.

Yup, I am truly sorry for you...but please, keep your bullshit out of my government, OK?

But if I can impart one thing to you christians -- regardless what your book says, it's not cool to enslave other people, and it is certainly unacceptable to rape women...and I'm glad we were able to pass legislation over the years to outlaw this deplorable, immoral christian practice.

I like the one where the shirt salesman isn't doing so well and the Lord tells him to sew a tiny alligator over the left breast and when he does he is a success and there is wailing and gnashing of teeth amongst his competitors.

NIV version is the one that easiest to read for me but pretty much any of them will do as The Bible is the inspired Word of God no matter which version you read from.

I'm not to familiar with all the virgins in the Bible but I guess the most popular virgin was Mary. I'd have to say she is my favorite Bible Virgin.

They never outright say that Jesus died a Virgin. The DaVinci Code hints that that he wasn't. Otherwise, He'd have to be my favorite.

You didn't list Gideon's Bible!!

Rock Raccoon checked into his room
Only to find Gideon's bible
Rocky hand come equipped with the gun
to shoot off the legs of his rival.

The Gideon's seem to have the Free Bible Market covered!!

The Gideons International serves as an extended missionary arm of the church: Our sole purpose is to win men, women, boys and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service, personal testimony, and distributing the Bible in the human traffic lanes and streams of everyday life.

When you're stuck in a hotel with no papers, any port in a storm.

But I was really young at the time, so I forgive myself. Not the best tasting setup, by any means.

And no, I'm not joking.

Dinsdale hopefully hopes:

"...but please, keep your bullshit out of my government, OK?"

Uh, nice thought, Dinster, but a little too late. Like cancer, if it's already eaten out your body's innards, leaving a ravaged husk of robust criminality mixed with astonishing incompetence, then it's safe to say IT'S ALREADY HERE!!

And no surprise that Tony 'the toad" Blair is also a mewling cultist claiming a "normalcy" for his bizarre and dangerous religious marching orders, smiling with an inner "peace" as he signs off on horrific war crimes.

As the great philosopher Spinoza noted, "I may not have the best philosophy, but I have the right one." And how right he was!!!
