Chris Duhon=#1. better than Jordan and Redick.

Florida's rpi is in the 4-6 range. GW's SOS is really shitty. i'd put them at 3-5.

i wouldn't want to play them, but their SOS is terrible.

1: Duke, UConvict, Villanova, Memphis
2: Texas, Florida, Pittsburgh, Ohio State
3: Kansas, LSU, NC State, Illinois

according to Pomeroy. Switch UNC for NC State according to Sagarin.

UNC is at NC State tonight...should settle that argument.

if ATM played a semi respectable OOC schedule they'd be on the bubble. they are looking at 9-7 in conference...but played nobody OOC.

We're still a bubble team as long as we win a couple games in the XII tourney. Beating Texas would definitely help a ton. We have them in College Station next so we'll see. We haven't really beaten anyone except Colorado and that isn't THAT impressive. I would be dissapointed if we didn't make it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't either. Gotta have quality wins unless you are in a shit Mid-Upper-South-Whatever conference. We just don't have them.

I do like the direction our program is going in though. Much better than two years ago when we were 0-17 in conference play.

ATM is not a bubble team. or could be. i like yer coach a lot...but yer rpi is in the 70's because you don't play anyone OOC. that's an institutional problem. i don't think you'll keep Gillespie long if you keep shortarming his chances to succeed.

Gillespie was the one who wanted to schedule the scrubs. Get some excitement around the team first. We will be playing better teams next year. I guarantee you.

And as far as I know, the season isn't over is it? Like I said before, we beat Texas and/or win a couple games in the tourney and I like our chances of getting in.

Just want to stop by and point out that so far everyone that has listed their top 12 has Texas as a two seed. At the same time all but one of you has two teams as #1 seed that Texas beat already this season, and the other person has 1 team that Texas beat.

I guess head to head match-ups mean more to me than the rest of you.

That said I would have Duke, UConn, Villanova, and Texas as #1 seeds. Memphis, Tenn, Pitt, and Ohio St as #2 seeds. GW, Ohio St, Florida, and Gonzaga as #3 seeds.

Ohio St is pretty good and all, but they don't deserve two seeds.

Really, OhioSt as a #2 and #3 seed. Would that be the mens team at #2 and the womens team at #3? I know Davenport is good but she isn't that good.

Signed,
97-66 and 81-60

That's a fair point. My basis for placing Villanova over Texas is that they're just playing better basketball right now. I think both teams are fairly equal, and if all things are equal, I think you go with who's playing better ball. Nova has won 10 in a row. Texas had a real ugly loss at OK St. That's not a team a #1 seed should be getting drubbed by. To me, that loss was more damaging than Nova's mere 3 point loss at Texas.

Also, one loss within the Big East (which I feel is the 2nd best conference) up to this point is pretty damn impressive.

I'lll second that ^^^

Two 20+ losses do not coincide with a #1 seed.

97-66 and 81-60

Too bad your coach throws his players under the bus all the time though.
