The SI story is good.

But the story on the documentation is even better.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/m ... h.doc0313/

Assuming they are reading the documentation correctly, these guys have Barry not just using "the cream" unknowingly, but actively managing use of just about every steroid under the sun.

Selig would be well within his rights to conduct his own investigation of these alegations with the intent of banning Barry for conduct detrimental to the game. Of course he won't.

Yeah, I was just reading that. On one hand its just more Barry Bonds drama but on the other hand, it looks really really bad.

Selig should have had an investigation already started on this matter already. The fact that he does not says volumes. This book may break the news to the average fan but Selig must have already known about this.

Baseball's reaction to this scandle has been ludicrous. Even the revamped drug testing is bogus.

Doesn't say much more than "not shocked".
Actually what it says is baseball still doesn't give a shit about steroid abuse and doesn't take it serious enough.

Looking forward to his body falling apart and his heart exploding.

I'm looking forward to him passing Babe Ruth in home runs on the road. Motherscratcher will get booed to no end, and booes at every other venue. He'll either withdraw completely or just melt/retire during the season.

He probably came back to the game just to pass Babe Ruth because he's white.

Yeah, I defiitely don't want him to retire. Like you said, I'm looking forward to the boos every time he puts a foot on the field.

Just wish McGwire got this treatment too...he at least wasn't an asshole, but I can't stand cheaters.

This is gonna blow like a volcanoe. In fact I'm predicting The Asterisk is gone. I'm not sure he even CAN play. Few outside S.F. have really gotten the inside bearing of His Odiousness--'til now 8)

Just bought tickets for the Giants @ Reds...just hope he is still around then but I doubt it.

That is exactly his plan as he said it himself. He just wants to pass the "White Guy". He doesn't care about passing Aaron.....

It's going to take me a few more shits to finish this lengthy article. From what I've read so far it's quite obvious that the man was so driven by his ego to be known as the best that he would stop at nothing to attain his goal. But I'm troubled that the excerp reads like fiction. As if Barry himself had provided the authors with information. Things like what Barry was feeling or thinking...this can only be speculation.

I understand that Barry's thought process was contributed from his ex-girlfriend.
