enough of Packer.
i could care less what he said about MVC, but to say Florida St and Maryland were deserving, are you on fucking drugs.
who gives a shit if you beat conference rivals. what did you do out of conference, and on the road!
Maryland beat noone on the road, and lost to every ranked team they played!
![Rolling Eyes :meds:](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
yeah fudgepacker, thats a great reason to get in!
Florida st. beat noone out of conference good. was 1-5 against ranked teams. christ, what a out of conference schedule they had
![Rolling Eyes :meds:](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
how about going out on the road to play OOC games
Hey billy. those facts alone prove how much of an idiot you are.
NIOWA has wins vs iowa, @ LSU. beat someone out of conference!

one of my all time fave Packer moments was during the KU-UK last year and in the space of about 10 minutes criticized Self for the EXACT same thing he applauded Tubby for doing.
a typical Packer game will be a transcript of:
"That was a terrible play"
"I don't know what Coach X is doing here...."
"It just like *I* was saying earlier......"

^^ dude pretty much nails it.
Because in truth, over the course of thousands of years, humans developed an innate anti-Packer sense that allows us to weed out Packer-like weenies from the gene pool. Unfortunately, with the recent development of "society" and "laws," this useful instinct has been suppressed. But alas, fellow college basketball fans, though we may not be at liberty to physically assault Billy Packer, we can create weblogs and bitch on the Internet. That's what I'm here for.

Personally, Nance annoys me more than Packer does. At least Packer, though a negative, thinks-he-knows-it-all-and-is-never-wrong curmudgeon, knows something about the game. Nance has no business whatsoever calling play-by-play. He adds nothing to the broadcast except meaningless, trite trivia and the completely obvious. I simply cannot listen to these morons call a game.

Could be worse. We could still have Brent calling these games.

If Packer knows so much, why doesnt he coach? I dont like him and Nantz. I would prefer Nessler and Raftery, even though its not possible w/ the allegiance to diff Networks.
Adelpiero, I take issue w/ something you said regarding that for the bigger schools, it doesnt matter who they play in conference, but who they play out of conference. Say you play in the Big East and you have league games against 7-9 teams that were ranked in the Top 25 at some point in the season. That schedule alone is harder than a lot of the mid-majors who play 2-3 tough games against the bigger schools.
I am not sticking up for FSU and Maryland, b/c they were bubble teams and didnt help themselves at the end of the season, but in year's in which the ACC is the best conference in the country and say a team like tFSU has to play UNC, Duke, Maryland, Wake and NC State twice, that is 10 quality games against Top 30 teams. I dont know that most of the schools in the mid-major conferences can say that they played up to 10 games agasint Top 25 caliber teams.

Majerus is the worst by far.
He misuses the English language, and who can forget this gem:
"Michigan's depth will be hurt by the suspension of Amadou Ba."
Does the guy do any home work before he shows up or did he look at the roster and say "wow that guy is tall, he must be good?" Ba, has played maybe 10 total minutes this season, all of it mop-up time. He has mayb 2 points in his career.
I can't watch Majerus, he's terrible.

During the last minute of a 20-point blowout of Tennessee by Kentucky...
"Well, there's not much to look forward to from here on out, so I'm trying to find Ashley Judd in the crowd. It beats the adult videos at the hotel."

I don't know, bro. That's a real tough tossup in complete horridness. By far the two worst "play-by-play callers" to ever disgrace the airwaves.

it's been posted before but there is no more bittersweet month for sportsfan than the NCAA tournament with the Masters following the subsequent week. Among my favortie sporting events.....but a MONTH STRAIGHT of the self-appointed Shakespeare of Sport: Jim Nantz.

on the subject of Brent. i watched Tech and RMK destroy Oklahoma's Final Four team in 2002 with Brent and Vitale "doing" the game.
afterwards i felt like been swapping stalls in a gay porn shop in Times Square in the late 70's.

I've got you beat. Last night I watched an episode of Cheap Seats and they were making a mockery out of a "World's Strongest Man" event, which Musberger commentated on...Had to have been about 25 years ago. Dude was awkward then, and now.
