I find it hard to believe that there are any other players in the nation that could be considered bigger prospects then Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson, and WR Calvin Johnson out of Georgia Tech.

Peterson, has virtually a perfect make-up: size(6'2, 220), strength, speed(4.4 - 40), and skill. We all know what he did as a freshmen, finishing 2nd in the Heisman race, and his sophmore season does not give him near the amount of credit he deserves. Playing behind a weak offensive line and new quarterback, he ran for an average of 5 yards a carry for over 1,100 yards and 14 TD's. This was in a limited amount of time, due to a sprained ankle. This kid is one of the highest touted RB prospects in years, and was considered NFL ready out of high school. I really don't think anyone could not like his game.

Johnson, also going into his junior campaign, is one of those athletic freaks. At 6'4, 230 pounds, Johnson has been clocked consecutively in the 40-yard dash at 4.3. This kid has the ability to catch the ball in traffic and body control of Braylon Edwards, with better hands. He is everything good Randy Moss is, plus more. If you guys haven't seen this kid yet, it is a must for next season. In his first two seasons, he's pulled in over 100 receptions for over 1,700 yards and 13 TD's. All of that while being the focal point for every defense he faces, due to an average at best Georgia Tech offense. The "Spiderman" catch he made as a freshman at NC State has to go down as one of the greatest catches ever. Running across the middle, he reached back with one hand, on a ball thrown badly behind him, and snagged it in right before getting nailed. It was no fluke either, the kid is really that good.

I also am going to add Teddy Ginn Jr. at the bottom of this list. Two years ago i wouldn't have, but after seeing what Steve Smith did for Carolina, i now believe a guy like Ginn can become a very effective pro. He has burner speed, and is the closest thing to Reggie Bush as far as explosiveness. Give him a crack of daylight and you can say goodbye.

Throw some more names out and your thoughts...

Also, the reason i do not include any quarterbacks, namely Brady Quinn and Troy Smith, i don't think there's any "can't miss" quarterbacks this year. I don't think you can compare the upside of guys like Quinn and Smith to the like of Peterson and Johnson.

At Texas they have a couple of prospects that would have been 1st/2nd round picks if they had come out this year. OT Justin Blalock is probably the best Olinemen still in school. The other is Michael Griffith who is probably the best safety prospect I have seen since the fake Roy Williams was a spooner :D

I'll add Derrick Williams. Last year he was injured in the Michigan game, but prior to that he was a real difference-maker for PSU. His TD against OSU was sick.

AD is a freak. No doubt about it, but my only concern as well as the NFL's is going to be his durability. On the field he is unmatched but he has been prone to injury. I still think he is the best back in America and will leave early, but I wouldnt be surprised to see him miss a game or two a b/c of a hurt shoulder or ankle.

Calvin Johnson I see more as a possession receiver. He is big and has geat hands, but I doubt he runs a 4.3. I think he is more in the 4.48-4.5 range. I think he will have a tremendous year, and he is a better prospect than anyone in this WR class, but I dont think he is more highly regarded than say Mike Williams or Larry Fitzgerald.

I actually tend to disagree with that one. I think since Braylon Edwards left, he's been the best prospect in the nation as far as wideouts go. And from all the games i've seen of this kid, i like him more then both Williams and Fitzgerald. His body control is ridiculous.

Wrong Griffin, that was Ced Griffin, Texas has 3 Griffins in the Dbackfield Ced, Michael and Marcus. The latter two are twin brothers the third (Ced) came on strong last year and will likely be drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round this year.

Alright my bad, i just remember seeing a Griffin everytime Braylon would make a catch. But no matter who it was, there really wasn't anyone that could cover Braylon because they guy didn't need seperation to make a catch. I've never seen anybody in my life that could catch the deep ball at the highest point in traffic like Braylon.

i was waiting for that. doesn't matter with Crosby. he was good last year from 55-60 range at Miami (sea level in september with humidity) and at ISU in the wind and drizzle. he's not an altitude phenom.

he may fail in "the League", but he's a great college kicker that a team will take a chance on. he's the best since Grammatica or Janakowski as far as leg strength and accuracy. kid has a big leg.

Yeah, that kid looked special. I wish you guys would have had him for the bowl game against Florida State. That was one ugly game, offensively. A guy like Williams probably could have sparked a few plays. I can't remember the last time i've seen so many 3 and outs.

As far as a top prospect, i would have to see alot more of him still.

Some other guys I can think of are:

Dwayne Jarrett- WR -USC (6-5, 195) 91 catches this year w 16 TD's!! freaking Impressive.

Adam Carricker-DE- Nebraska (6-6, 290) 9 1/2 sacks last year. Gained 10 pounds and ran a clocked 4.68 40 this winter.

Zach Miller- TE -ASU (6-4, 250). I think he was injured early on in the year so his stats dipped. But I can remember thinking his 10 receptions against WSU as misprint in the paper. Great size, excellent Receiver/blocker.

WOuldn't really call him a top prospect. More of an underachiever. Has not lived up to the hype. In any case, I'm talking about Courtney Lewis, RB, Texas A&M. When he first started for A&M as a freshman, he was small and quick. He made tacklers miss. Each year it seems he has put on at least 10 pounds of uscle in the offseason. Now, he's freaking huge. He just hasn't been the same shifty runner, and his overall height/weight still isn't enough to move the pile.

But...here's to hoping his senior year is a success. With McGee to run the option and have a second threat in the backfield, maybe Lewis can break some big runs off this year.

Ther's also Martellus Bennet. I'm really hoping he works on catching the damn ball in the offseason. He was hyped big as well. He did ok in his freshman year. He was named to the all freshman/rookie team. McGee didn't show much in the way of his passing ability so I'm sure he'll be working on that this offseason as well. Bennet can take this team to the next level though Kellen Winslow-style. He also has the KW attitude too so here's to hoping Fran keeps that ego in check.

Yeah i seen both of them games too. Brutal, just like the Penn State game. Florida State is an elite program, how can your guys' offense be so awful? You guys have to be able to recruit explosive players.

Miami game...missed a 28 yarder and hit a 58 yarder. Weird.
