If so, you're a Nutjob.
Or just plain ignorant.
Maybe both.

I suppose I ought to be...

...at being called an ignorant nutjob...
...but instead I'm more...
:)
:D
...because, after all, I'm being called an ignorant nutjob by
m2.

Muslims walk around like that everyday, after they kill one of their kids for some $$$.
Christians do the same thing here... in the good ole' US of A, when they send their kids to Iraq.
Gotta' love religion.

Intelligence and religion don't mix.
If an Islamic country can get a hold of a bunch of nukes... game over.
We go the way of the dinosaur.
Gotta love religion!

It's because of that religion that we are at war. Don't hate the home team because we have a better offensive line and skill players at all positions.

Paraphrasing here, but it's rather difficult to be intelligent while not being cynical and even a bit morose and it's even harder to be intelligent and deeply religious...

MATTHEW CHAPTER 22
And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said:
2 "The Kindgdom of Heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son,
3 "And sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.
4 "Again, he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "See, i have prepared my dinner, my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and and all things are ready. Come to the wedding."
5 "But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business.
6 "And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them.
7 "But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers. and birned their city.
8 "Then he said to his servants, 'the wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9 'Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find left, invite to the Wedding."

Let me tell you something MDeaux, you may find it fashionable to denegrate those who believe in an afterlife whether it be Heaven or hell, however, I submit to you that I have already seen both. It is REAL.
Try to wrap your windchiming beauty around the passage I quoted from Matthew and then think about what is what.
Other then that, just have yourself a great day.

What an incredibly broad, completely untenable statement. The fact is that they can mix just fine.

Personally, I'm not religious at all.
I'm a rationalist. Which is why I'm a Christian.

Count me as spiritual, not necessarily religious.

Psalm 14
For the director of music. Of David.
1 The fool [a] says in his heart,
"There is no God."
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good.
2 The LORD looks down from heaven
on the sons of men
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
3 All have turned aside,
they have together become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.

What does that mean, 'spiritual', Marley...?
Myself, I am definitely NOT religious.

Meaning- I belive in a higher being, I believe in an existence after this one and live my life as such- but I don't believe in relgion. I went to a Christian school growing up, went to Church twice a day on Sunday's and on Wednsday nights... and everything I have seen and experienced (will spare the details unless people really want them) led me to believe that man has bastarized what "religions" were intended to be.. So- I am not religious.. but am definitely spiritual

Live your life as such...?
I assume you are saying that you try to live a 'good' life, try to be a 'good' person, because you think you will have some reward in your life after this one if you act good here...?
Or you try to live 'good' so as to avoid some 'punishment' in the next life..?

My take on what BB is saying is that he practices personal religion, rather then social religion.
Be careful BB, Christ was murdered for preaching just that.

No- I live a good life and good to other's b/c I think that is the right thing to do. But- I do beleive in Karma... so- I guess you can say yes to a point.

Would seem to me that 'living a good life' would be getting ahead, fucking others over if necessary, enjoying your time on the planet.
I mean, who sets the standard for good, if not the individual person....?
If that's my version of good (getting ahead, fucking others if need be, enjoying my life), how can you tell me it's bad...?
Oh, fucking others over is BAD...?
No, if they are stupid enough to be fucked over, they deserve it.
That is good to me.
What makes you believe in karma...?
Isn't that just a fantasy of your own mind...?
