I'll admit it I watch the show with the OL (Old lady for the slower folk around here). I could not agree with you more on those 2 observations. I could come in here and spew the predicted machoism as the prime reason I don't watch the show. And that would be sufficient enough. But even more importantly, I don't watch the show because the singers, though some are "talented" (in the mainstream sense), are boring as fuck to watch. They have marginalized voices which we've all heard on radio/tv thousands of times. They don't separate themselves from anyone else. And to top it all off...they're not even singing original lyrics. Correct me if I'm wrong here but don't they all sing covers? The VERY least they could do to capture my interest (though it still wouldn't work) would be to write their own fucking songs. Fucked up part is, when the winner gets a record deal, they STILL don't write their own songs.

Chris is good, Damn Good! but he doesn't fit the show and if he changes his style, he is a sell out! Dude can't win this show. He will come in second. Which is better than first on American Idol because the first place winners have to be the American Idol puppets and that is not Chris' Style!!

Not mentioning Bucky and the last dude that sang (the kid from ET phone home) was also the right thing to do!! (although Bucky will be a Country Star once he gets busted for drug abuse, goes to jail, loses his wife and finds out the cops ran over his dog when they carted him off to prison!)

Paris will come in 3rd (maybe second- When Chris gets a huge contract and says "F*ck IT!) and then there will be a black white controvery to boost the ratings!!
