A decade long study plus $2.4 million was needed to "prove" that? If someone want to cut me a large check, I will prove that fucking around on the internet is detrimental to my productivity at work.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The government's spent $2.4 million on prayer research since 2000. I'd be curious to know how much we spent on idiotic crap like that from 1992-2000.

The fact that they are 'studying' the subject demonstrates that they don't get it.
I'm underwhelmed.

I agree. What is the point of this study? Whose mind is this really going to change? If the results had been the opposite, all the believers would've been saying how it "proves" that prayer works, while the skeptics would've written it off as random chance.
It sure is a good thing we have a government that's trying to get to the bottom of such pressing issues.

The title should have read "Decade-long study 'proves' that government will throw taxpayer money away on useless crap."
Real science studies the natural, not the supernatural. The "researchers" lost their credibility as scientists the second they said "sure, I'll do a study on prayer..."
