Any Pipe Smokers?

My grandfather used to smoke a tabacco pipe when I was young, but he also stopped when I was young. I always loved the smell of it and a few years ago with a little prodding from LOTR's I decided to try it out.
I got a pretty cheap pipe, I think I paid no more than 14 dollars for and 2 ounces of a tabacco called IQ-140. I had no idea about smoking from a pipe and the place I got it from gave me instructions explaing how to break in a pipe by starting the bowls small and then increasing the size of the bowls as you go among other things.
I thoroughly enjoyed smoking the pipe, I hate cigarettes and the such though every so often I will take a drag off of a Marabol Light for the nicotine rush.
About 4 years ago I let someone talk me into using my pipe to smoke, well some other weed in it. I smoked it once after and then never again.
I have been wanting to replace the pipe for almost 4 years, so I did so last night. This time I spent about $60 on the pipe, it was one they said I did not have to break in, I got the same tabacco IQ-140 and have smoked a couple of bowls today, it has been fantastic.
I was wondering if any of you guys smoked pipes and could give me suggestions on types of tabacco that I should try or tips on smoking pipes in general.
No pole smokers please.

I thought this was a Cicero call-out thread.
Sorry.

Okay, here's a tip.
Don't drop the pipe. The glass tends to shatter easily.

Nice.
MO, my grandfather also smoked a pipe when I was a wee youngin. Used to love the smell. Never took up the habit, however, as I opted for cigs instead.
Aside from trying to drive up Meds' health care costs, pipe-smoking is a disgusting habit.
How's IQ-140?

You can't even spell "tobacco".
You want advice on how to smoke it? What a moron.

Thanks for an intelligent response RF.
The IQ-140 has kind of a sweet smell, vanilla like but not quite. The smoke tastes really well, I like to inhale it from the side of my mouth across my tounge, once you get the pipe going good it is a really warm feeling, in your mouth of course. I find it really relaxing.
When you are smoking it really good the pipe kind of bubbles, I can't really hear it as I am jamming out to some Zeppelin right now, but as you hold the pipe you can also feel that bubble sensation.

Exactly. Sort of like what my gp used to smoke, only as a youngin', the only thing I knew about vanilla was that it was an ice cream flavor.
The only thing I couldn't figure out is why the hell my grandfather was watching the Brewers on TV, and wanted my bro and I to go to sleep, when we were kids, all up in grandpa's interests and stuff.
This, of course, was in the early '70s. Later, (1982) I finally understood why he was following the Brewers (fuck you, Bace), but by about that time, he was thinking about quitting. :x
Seriously, my gp was an artist, and did some killer paintings with both acrylic and rock -- yeah, rock. He did a mural of a deer jumping through the woods in freaking stones. It was mounted above his fireplace for years, and everybody in the family wanted it. But nobody could claim it when he died, because he wanted it left in the house, even after he moved. :x :x
I'm sure that rock depiction of a deer has an IQ of at
least 140.

I don't smoke them personally but I used to be the manager of a cigar and Tobacco shop for a few months waiting for my license and background check to come through before I could start work and I'll roll through there and give the owner a holler on what he would reccomend.

Cigars are my thing, but the pipe approach ought to be tried.......
