I don't think any of them are your cousins Shoalzie, but you are going to have to wait at least 10 years.

If only the Phillies had the Cards pitching....

The Phillies lineup is pretty strong. Their pitching is another matter..

that's an understatement.

Rollins
Utley
Abreau
Burrell
314 ROY
Rowand

Can't think of a better lineup in the NL East.

5-0 says that your pitching kinda sucks, though.

I could have told you that before the game had started. Phillies have a bunch of #2's and 5#'s posing as #1's and #2's and 3#'s.

When Cory Lidle is your #3.. means your team is in trouble.

Look for Abreu to be traded mid-season for a pitcher. Victorino and Delluci (the guy Gillick stole from the Rangers just before the start of the season) to vill that void.

Yea I know Shoalzie, but I can't see how you will ever live it down. You seem like a good guy, otherwise I wouldn't even bother throwing a jab your way, and you did ask about "my" team. :D

15 Day DL: Mark Cameron, Ryan Klesko, Doug Brocail

Mark Cameron was to be the starting CF, but he strained an oblique muscle during BP last Friday and he is expected to miss April.

Klesko is having shoulder pain again, but is expected to be back in 2 weeks. I like the guy, but I would just a soon see him hang it up. Adrian Gonzalez is the young kid they picked up from Texas and has had a very good Spring.

Brocail, the guy is lucky to be alive. During a routine physical and some follow up they found he had some clogged arteries and had to have a couple splints put in. If he was just a regular Joe, he would be the guy that read about in the newspaper, 36 yo dies of massive heartattack, and say WTF.

Josh Barfield is a rookie and has had a great spring at 2nd. I would not be surprised to hear his name mentioned in NL ROY discussions near the end of the season.

Pitching, we can count on Peavy, Linebrink, and Hoffman. It is hard to say how consistent the other guys will be. Hopefully Chan Ho after his stint with Korea in the WBC has a fresh outlook on the game. He has had a couple of good outings since the WBC.

There not gonna be world beaters but I like the team, and they are all good guys that you want to cheer for.

Does that meet your approval Shoalzie? :D
