Dude, I'm on the wagon. I think I might have bitched about it like mvscal at a Kwanzaa celebration once or twice.

But soon, I will once again enjoy that moment in the sun...the morning sun that hits my face every time I pass out on a park bench or at a bus stop or somewhere like that.

The Oregon brewing industry can't take the sustained economic hit that my abstinence of late has caused.

Nothing, except Nyquil, many years ago. Never tried a sip of alcohol, including beer. Not even champagne at my wedding.

Never tried a cigarette, pot or any drug either.

Reason: I told myself when I was eight years old that I never would, and that was that. Looking around my neighborhood at the time all I saw (so it seemed to me) were my older brothers and all their friends constantly getting high. Either they were smoking these stupid, smelly bags of weeds or they were trying to figure out how to get their next stupid, smelly bag of weed.

It all seemed like such a colossal waste of time.

Besides, most of those things aren't even the least bit tempting. Most of 'em smell awful, other than some wines and margaritas. Cigarettes and pot (especially cigarettes) smell like garbage.

Not too difficult of a choice then.
